you are full of it. The absolute goal of our education system is to inspire regard for the golden rule, do not litter, do not steal, do not hate, take a bath, eat yer grits, pay your bills and drive on the correct side of the road amongst other things

Teacher pay in Louisiana ranks 46th out of 50 states.
How about focusing on improving that instead of forcing religion down kids throats?
Just a thought.

I don’t understand how we can have LGBTQ+ flags all over school campuses. We can have mini pride parades in school hallways. We can invite drag queens into our schools for presentations. We can have all forms of deviance in our elementary school libraries showing kids how to have gay sex(with graphic pictures). Putting the 10 commandments is going over the line? LOL

Does this LA bill establish a state religion?

Where?
What schools in Louisiana do these things?

I can give examples for all of these in the US. I grant you Louisiana is not a big offender of these kinds of things(thank God), but the point still stands that in our country all of these things are acceptable. LGBTQ+ is considered positive and the commandments are not allowed. Do you want me to show examples of each? I thought everyone knew this was happening? Louisiana is part of the US and if this goes to the Supreme Court the ruling it affects all states. I also didn’t specify just Louisiana. You made that assumption.

I don’t know what the Supreme Court will say, but the chances are better right on Landry’s side.

Now the question is for you. Do you support the banning of both LGBTQ+ symbols and the 10 Commandments on all school campuses? Or is it just the 10 Commandments you have a problem with? I was pointing out the hypocrisy of liberals. Grooming children is ok, but you better not post the 10 Commandments.

I don’t support banning mention of the 10 commandments. I don’t support legislating mandates that forces a particular religion on school children. We already know this is unconstitutional. Landry just wants attention and to use our tax dollars to pay his lawyer buddies. Very typical politician.
Posters don’t change lives anyway. What good is hanging a poster of the the 10 commandments in a classroom going to do? I want my kids to learn about Christianity so I teach them about it and send them to catechism classes. Parents are the primary educators of their children. Not classroom walls.

So this is about book burning?
Note that “don’t support the gay” isn’t one of the commandment
By limiting the “covet” rule to “thy neighbor’s wife,” is it ok to covet the husband?
Seems Jeff Landry is trying to tell us something.

Are you aware the Jews also follow the 10 commandments?
The overwhelming majority of Jewish people don’t give a flying frick about the 10 commandments because they’re too busy trying to be major contributors to society. You know, going to college and getting postgraduate degrees and becoming financial workers, tech workers and doctors. Louisiana could definitely use more of that.
