yall realize all of that all the surrounding states are offering the same kind of deals right?

we have this discussion every time a new plant or manufacturing business comes. People bitch about the tax incentives every time, every fricking time with zero understanding. its really simple....you either want nothing or you are ok with deferring the taxes for 10 years, getting all the money from construction and income tax from employees and then in 10 years getting the money from the property tax when it comes online.

it really is that simple.....nothing vs a little now and a big chunk in 10-12 years. because if you do not offer these things, the businesses go right over to texas and you get nothing!




Landry has been awesome in attracting companies here. Anyone that says otherwise is insane.

The only reason people dont like him is the whole LSU thing and in the end he was correct, handled it like shite, but he got the job done, period.


Do I think he is a douche half the time...absolutely but that douchebag is doing an actual great job on the economy


now he needs to be a major a-hole and activate the national guard big time and go fricking ape shite on crime, 1990s NYC style. Stop and frisk everywhere, almost every corner around LSU and downtown BR and all over CBC and FQ in NOLA should have soldiers. Clean that up and some with the education and you have a huge win to go with the economic wins

oh you mean the way he was a douche bag in the way he handled the LSU situation but ultimately ended up getting the job done correctly and got the right people in position to make things happen?
