Would like to think I wouldn’t cave for that, but I honestly Can’t even imagine what $10m/year Means in terms of not GAF.

Sure

Many would sell out for 10m.........if they weren't ALREADY MULTI millionaires

Brees selling out for that number is like me selling out for a few hundred bucks

Brees bent the knee to save his seven figure a year broadcasting career

This is bullshite. There is no evidence that Brees was under any pressure to apologize due to his future career.

Multiple networks were throwing money at him and he turned down MNF.

He would’ve been fine. Rather than apologizing, he should’ve taken the Coonrod route and explained his stance logically.

His popularity would’ve increased, not declined.

It was a debacle and he made a bad decision

There was absolutely nothing wrong with his initial statement. Pussing out and disgracing his grandfathers legacy to save himself from the bitchfest was cringeworthy at best.

I agree for the most part but TB12 and ALL of the Mannings will fold just like Brees when they are called out.

I did not disagree with his statement and disagreed with his actions after. I'm still not throwing him off a cliff over it.

The old saying: "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything"..seems appropriate IMO.

Brees is probably already worth north of $200 million. A broadcast gig would essentially be a hobby.

He’s only concerned with his post-football career.

Yeah, what if you already had millions of dollars that you can’t spend it all, would you still sell yourself out?

Yes. I probably would. That NBC broadcasting gig would be a top 5 job in all of sports.

I dunno. I get the feeling that his wife has forced him to do this shite. Of course, that doesn’t really improve the situation, with him handing his testicles over to her.

So disappointing. What a horrible decision he made. And then his wife. So lame. I always really respected the way he supported our troops. He seemed to really take that stuff to heart. Seemed truly humble. All down the toilet.
