You know it is a real shitty deal when being called incompetent is the best outcome. However, your blue goggles are so thick you couldn't see the truth if it came up and did a lap dance in your face.

This investigation was setup to determine "stupid" or "liar." The verdict is in, and "stupid" is the winner.

1.) "Appropriate U.S. personnel made reasonable tactical decisions that night, and the Committee found no evidence that there was either a stand down order or a denial of available air support."
2.) "Although some security officers voices a greater urgency to depart for the TMF, no officer at CIA was ever told to stand down."
3.) "The Annex team had necessary authority to depart for the TMF. Once prepared, officers engaged in a tactical discussion about the threat they faced at the TMF, and what weapons and external support to bring to TMF. During the discussion, there was a delay as the tactical situation was discussed, but HPSCI (House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence) found no evidence that the team was ordered or directed to stand down."
4.) "The evidence from eyewitness testimony, ISR video footage, closed-circuit television recordings, and other sources provides no support for the allegation that there was any stand-down order."
Does anyone here "celebrating" this report dispute the fact that in all four HPSCI sections quoted above, the Committee makes clear that there was no stand-down order? That's pretty much a yes or no question. Anyone?
Caution ...

I heard Gowdy a couple of weeks back; said they are making headway...big time. It'll all coming in one big wave; book it, Gowdy takes no prisoners and won't be swayed by the go-along-to-get-along RINOS.
I hate like hell to be under Obama's command...or Hillary for that matter. Two of the most overt liars to ever hold high office. No wonder this place is on the edge.

House Intelligence Committee Quietly Releases Embarrassing Benghazi Report Before Running Off For Thanksgiving Recess.
Remember how Republicans swore up and down that they would get to the bottom of the Benghazi incident? Remember how they wouldn’t rest until they had damning evidence tying the entire event to a conspiracy by Hillary Clinton to destroy evidence of President Obama’s real birth certificate and a photo showing him shaking hands with Osama Bin Laden? You may think I’m being facetious, but as worked up as the “Obummer’s gonna take mah gunz and freedumbs” crowd was over Benghazi, that’s not a far stretch.
Well, for all the huffing and puffing that they did, finally the House Intelligence Committee wrapped up their investigation and released their shocking report that would finally show that Hillary Clinton herself was responsible and end her assumed campaign in 2016.
So what was in that report? Surely after all of the hoopla and accusations of cover-ups, our fearless investigators on the House Intelligence Committee would finally get to the bottom of it and we would be SHOCKED by what they found. There would be a press conference called and together, Trey Gowdy and John Boehner would proudly announce that they had names of people who misled them and the SHOCKING paper trail went all the way to the Oval Office. There would be resignations and indictments and heads would roll…oh wait, that’s not what happened:
The House Intelligence Committee report was released with little fanfare on the Friday before Thanksgiving week. Many of its findings echo those of six previous investigations by various congressional committees and a State Department panel. The eighth Benghazi investigation is being carried out by a House Select Committee appointed in May.
The attacks in Benghazi killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, foreign service officer Sean Smith, and two CIA contractors, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty. A Libyan extremist, Ahmed Abu Khatalla, is facing trial on murder charges after he was captured in Libya and taken to the U.S. (Source)
You read that right, Republicans very quietly released the report before scurrying out of town for Thanksgiving recess. Not only that, but they also released it right after President Obama’s announcement on executive action on immigration, to make sure their waste of time and taxpayer money was completely buried in the news cycle. Yes, they waited to release the findings that will make the next Benghazi investigation that Senator Lindsey Graham wants to hold in 2015 look even more ridiculous than this one.
But wouldn’t the House Intelligence Committee find something? Maybe find out that Susan Rice lied or that she was told to lie by the White House, by Obama even? Nope, nope and nope.
Some of the harshest charges have been leveled at Rice, now Obama’s national security adviser, who represented the Obama administration on Sunday talk shows the weekend after the attack. Rice repeated talking points that wrongly described a protest over a video deemed offensive to Muslims.
But Rice’s comments were based on faulty intelligence from multiple agencies, according to the report. Analysts received 21 reports that a protest occurred in Benghazi, the report said —14 from the Open Source Center, which reviews news reports; one from the CIA; two from the Defense Department; and four from the National Security Agency. (Source)
So will this be the end of the Benghazi hoopla from the far right? Will they finally accept defeat and move on to the next great conspiracy and the 6th annual “Obama’s coming for your 2nd Amendment rights” gun sale? Perhaps Fox and Friends will cook up a new boogeyman or revive the good old standby, the Obamacare death panels? Nope, nope and again, nope. You see, they have so much time and energy invested in Benghazi that they’ll never let it go – at least not until after Hillary Clinton’s second term is up. You really have to feel sorry for them, Benghazi’s all they’ve got.

So to recap
Another Obama conspiracy cover up turns into a myth and the people who believed it immediately swivel on their position and jump to Obama being incompetent as their new position.
Yet no acknowledgement of their own ineptitude getting duped in to getting outraged over another false conspiracy.
Absolutely pathetic.

the cover up was to hide their incompetence. nothing has changed.
nobody thinks they set out to get the ambassador killed.
the narrative about the video was a purposeful lie. A lie that was to made up to hide their incompetence in the lead up to an election.
There is not swiveling - nothing has changed.
