It’s simpler than that. They have 40-50% fewer “salespeople.” This is the first year that no one approached me to buy GS cookies. I couldn’t have bought even if I wanted to.

In every instance, the girl was formerly in Girl Scouts and had a brother in Boy Scouts / cub scouts and after seeing both programs up close, decided to ditch Girl Scouts.
Both my daughters tried Girl Scouts. It was basically an hour of arts and crafts every other Saturday and tremendous pressure to sell it just cookies but other crap. No idea where the money went, I guess it was spent on craft kits.
Their troops never went camping. My oldest did go to a summer camp for horseback riding and the troop leader basically thought it was stupid of her to go. That was her last experience.

This year it was $6 here. I think 18 samoas in a box. And for some dumb arse reason they “retired” the s’mores ones.

1.2M in sales nationwide sucks
