You are right and OP is right, it is a REPEAT performance specifically targeting Christians.
And the Germans don't seem to learn from any of this.

Wonder if the vehicles were related to the red SUV that drove through the Christmas parade in Wisconsin a few years ago. We need common sense SUV control.

The churches are empty all over Europe. I visited my ancestral home in Germany in 2018. There are three Lutheran churches in the area, but only one pastor and they have only one church open each week for Sunday services.
Christmas Markets are hugely popular with tens of thousands of guests each day. The ornaments, mulled wine, cookies and coco are there, but few of those Godless Euros give two shites about the religious aspects of the season.
These attacks aren't really about attacking Christians or Christianity, just Western culture. The West has been actively attacking and killing the Church for centuries.
