BRPD has been installing some of these so I guess we’ll see who’s right.

Government really good about surveillance of its citizens and charging them for petty things. Able to act quickly and efficiently when stealing your money.

And you could lock everyone in their homes, perpetually.

This is a weapon aimed at the personal liberties that we all enjoy. And it enables the worst impulses of central government.

It’s evil.

So a policeman could follow you out of your driveway and record every place you go and put that into a database. Sounds awesome.

True in regards to being photographed, but if you bring tracking into the equation, that may not be the case. It'd be an interesting court case, no doubt.

I don't know that they reduce crime, but if they do, it's because they likely drive criminals out of an area.

The flock cameras solved a number of issues in my old neighborhood. We had car loads of juvenile gang members doing car break ins and occasional home invasions. They were difficult to track after a few days because they'd steal cars and plates, so getting quick data to the cops with real time tracking information was pretty much the only reason they got caught. Several crews or groups were caught, and the crime dwindled.

Anyway, I'm not telling you they're not a dangerous tool, but they're an effective tool.

I just checked Georgia’s law they keep the tracking data for 30 MONTHS or 2.5 Years!!!!

I had no idea.

Also many States it is illegal to do anything to your license plate to make it harder to read.

And since these readers are also on police cars they can immediately tell your plate can’t be read and you will be ticketed.

Forget driving criminals out of an area.

They blanket every road in the State of Georgia.

This is not about neighborhood watch.

Link? They're expensive and Flock would be a far bigger company if this were the case.

It’s amazing how quick they can be to track down political dissidents, but they are completely lost when tracking an armed burglar, a rapist, a drive-by shooter, a carjacker, or a murderer.

What? Is that nowhere in the article you linked and do you have any idea how expensive it would be to install ALPR's at "most intersctions" even in Gwinnett?

They are put in strategic locations though and some are hidden in those devices that flash your speed limit on crosswalks and blind turns.

Flock , Interesting name.

Citizens are the flock. The Government is the Shepard to watch over the flock. Amazing how they just throw it in your face if your eyes are opened to see it.
