That’s another bad sign.
His political instincts are usually wrong.
Although he is not a NeverTrumper as he said he will vote for Trump. But he is very solidly a GOPe guy.

It’s very clear Kemp went straight to Erick to get him to approve and get the word out she is some great conservative. He was the 1st with an article out touting her views and had access to her speech yesterday. I thought she bombed the press conference

That's not really accurate. The truth is we don't really know at this point.
The only real evidence that she is a RINO is that she gave money to Romney? Guess what? So did Trump.

Kelly Loeffler said she would be pro Trump, pro 2nd Amendment, pro life, PRO WALL, pro business etc etc. She said this TODAY during her acceptance speech. These are not positions of a RINO Never Trumper. Let's fricking see how she votes. Conservative Georgia voters will hold her accountable.
A lot of you are pissed because Brian Kemp didn't choose Trump's pick of Doug Collins. To you I say back off. Doug is kicking arse where he is at. A lot of Georgia voters like him where he is at.
Kemp choosing Loeffler is smart. She will do well with suburban female voters. She will be more of a lock for re-election then Doug Collins would.

I’m going to vote for her because the democrats are nutcases and I could never vote for a democrat.
But I’m concerned she isn’t the best candidate. She’s unknown, which by itself doesn’t mean she’s going to be bad, but the little I’ve seen she doesn’t seem impressive.
She has to reach and connect to people. Collins can do that. I’m not sure she can.

She flat out wasn’t impressive in her press conference. That’s all we’ve seen of her. You need to be persuasive to win over skeptical voters. She wasn’t persuasive or inspiring. She had to read off notes that she is “Pro-Trump, pro gun, etc etc”. I don’t need notes to tell people I’m pro trump.

People saying Doug Collins might primary her in 2020
He will not do that. This is a special election that will not have a primary election and will only be decided during the general election next year.
Doug Collins will not risk putting this seat in play in a presidential election year against a democrat in a state that's trending more purple and getting harder and harder to win.
Also, Kelly Loeffler is going to drop 20 million dollars on her campaign and that's going to be more than enough to discourage any challenge from the right, especially if she stays on the straight and narrow and does not screw up an important vote.

I hope I’m wrong but this feels like Georgia is heading for its own Rispone moment.
Apples to Oranges.
For that to be true, Georgia democrats would need a very strong candidate that can go absolutely ape shite in Atlanta and get just enough of the rural vote to win.
Furthermore, Rispone lost because he pissed off voters he was going to need later and he ran a very shitty campaign against a very strong democrat incumbent in a state race where it's not as partisan and people are more flexible with their votes as opposed to federal races.

Ehhh
We’re not sure what candidate the democrats will choose. Hopefully he or she will not be a strong one.
Secondly, there are already some pissed off and uninspired voters that Loeffler will need to shore up. This is a divisive choice here in Georgia. Listen to local politics and it is a hot topic right now. She may run a very poor campaign and fail to reach the voters she needs to win. We don’t know because she has never campaigned before. The little we have seen has not been impressive.
Finally, the vote is flexible here. Georgia is shades of purple. Lucy McBath won in Cobb and other districts have swung significantly. McBath won partly due to Handel being a very poor candidate. I hope Loeffler is not the same kind of candidate.
While not entirely similar to the Louisiana race, there are some similarities.

Her bio is pretty unimpressive. She's a rich dude's wife and that's about it.

Devos had a political background with an emphasis on education, and she was selected for a cabinet position that dealt with education.
No arguments from me that her wealth didn't help the situation, but she's not a good comparison to Loeffler. Loeffler's done literally nothing outside of her husband.
