Who silenced Kimmel? Take that up with the execs at Disney. Forget the fact that he completely lied about the shooter and the motives of the shooter. The truth is they were going pull him like they did Colbert anyway ,because at some point you can't continue to hemmorage 10s of millions of dollars annually with shite numbers. Late night talk is more of a Boomer thing ,and key demo doesn't watch. Stop trying to turn this into something it is not.

In actuality, there is a big difference between cancel culture and consequences for your actions and/or words. Kimmel wasn't canceled due to cancel culture; He was canceled due to his actions and insensitive, thoughtless words which is a swift consequence based on him being a terrible person.

What Kimmel said and says is not controversial. It is lies, reprehensible, morally bankrupt, and inappropriate in a civil society.
That’s why he was taken off the air. He’s been saying controversial anti-conservative statements on air for years.
It’s about time people are held to a higher standard of discourse. As if anyone really cares about what I think, but if I post the stuff I’m seeing from teachers, professors, employers (see Taco lady from State Farm Stadium in Arizona), nurses, etc., I would lose my job, and rightfully so.
How can anyone support anything otherwise? These people are evil. Absolutely evil with no moral compass.

Didn't one of ABC's biggest distributors decide not to run Kimmel's show? 24 stations or something like that. The advertisers would be pissed cause they paid to access those markets for the folks Kimmel brought to the TV. I'm sure that factored in as well.

No he wasn't. ABC could care less if you lie about Charlie Kirk. Kimmel was fired because The Walt Disney Group - ABC's parent company-was afraid of Trump coming after them. It was an action somewhat similar to the $16 mill. that Paramount (CBS parent co.) paid Trump in a settlement, which would allow Trump to approve their $8 Billion dollar sale to Skydance Media.
As long as Trump signals that he is coming after his media enemies, this will continue to happen. Power and money will always rule the day.
