Well, that sounds perfectly reasonable!
Lol...

Trump and his team have been planning and operating so well, it's ridiculous to believe they began an operation and weren't aware of their ammunition inventory.

Yep this fear mongering just sounds like this to me: We went rabbit hunting and the water was real high so the hunting was so darn good we ran out of ammo.

While I do believe our surface to air missiles are being depleted faster than we can make them, the whole narrative that we're that short supplied sounds like nonsense. The article I saw claimed that currently the production lines are setup for peacetime production quantities. If they were REALLY concerned, they'd be pushing the defense contractors to get things moving.

If so, I guess the MIC isn't making any money huh?

This is highly unlikely. We are always prepared to fight a conflict and a war. That means we have to have the logistic support in place.

If they is the case, then the “MIC” is not an industrial complex.

It’s a poorly run joke like the Louisiana DMV

But do you really think an industrial complex that large is that stupid?

The US has $39 trillion of US taxpayer debt......there are a lot of irresponsible and dumb people throughout the federal government. I have learned over 67 years to never discount the level of stupidity, greed and corruption when it comes to the federal government.

My personal opinion on this matter is pretty simple. I don't know how accurate Weichert's report is when it comes to dwindling US munitions and weapon systems but if it's true, what level of serious war gaming took place knowing if the US had to sustain military operations for several weeks the operation would be impacted by insufficient stockpiles of munitions and weapon systems? Doesn't make good sense.

BTW, it appears some of the respondents to the OP are under the assumption I agree with Weichert.....I was was simply passing on the information. My hope and belief is we have competent people running the nation now and if the US needs to drag the operation out against Iran for a few weeks the US is more than capable of doing so.

Increase of $650 million to expand production capacity of solid rocket motors.

As I stated at the end of the last page, the US Navy budgeted for 139 SM-6 surface to air missiles for 2026. At a cost of between 4-10 million, in 2026/2027 we're budgeted for a little over 65 Patriots.

I don't know why people are acting like this is is so crazy

Because the sources of this 'years long discussion' are the same phags and manipulators who falsify polls and tell half-truths to try and have things their way.

There is no objectivity in these 'discussions' to find an accurate status of anything.

Don't go being a phag yourself.

Well, they can just read the DoD Comptroller report where the US Navy budgeted for 139 SM-6s for 2026. This information isn't hard to find.

Not at all the same thing from an actual report indicating days or hours worth of munitions left in theater during a war.

This was irresponsible and has no business being reported just for our awareness when it could get servicemen hurt or impact the enemies willingness to surrender.

yes if we hadn't given it all away to the grifters in Ukraine, we'd be ok

I highly doubt we continue firing like we did on the initial attack for sustained period of time.

And to believe this admin did not plan for this high level of usage is naïve.

I mean, if this is true, it can only be a positive.

If we’re literally 72 hours away from being out of ammunition, it needs to be fixed. And it will be.

I guess Bannon has some reason for putting this out, but his goal isn't immediately clear.

I don't believe it for a second.

I've read a bit of Weichert's analyses over the last 4 years. He is usually wrong.

I don't even know where to begin with this. Our "campaign" in Venezuela lasted a couple of hours and we are in Day 3-4 in Iran. The notion that the US Military's stockpiles are so limited that we can't go a week without running out of munitions is idiotic.

No, I have no idea what our stockpiles actually are, but one would have to believe that the US military failed to plan for a conflict that lasted less than a week?

Where do they find these people?

It could be true, but I'm not comfortable taking the word of an anonymous source whose solution would be to give them a ton of money to build more.
