General McChrystal’s rebuke of Trump

Wow!
Very diplomatic but stunning in its honesty.
Trump fails at every measure of leadership and civility.
Also, the General’s remarks about Trump and Veterans Day we’re spot on. It’s interesting to me that Trump, who blasts NFL players about disrespecting the flag and the military, totally disrespects those who served and serve with his absence and, further, his non-attendance at the WWI ceremony at an American Cemetary.
Trump is a complete and total a-hole.

The guy who was involved in covering up Pat Tillman's friendly fire death? Sure sounds like the kind of guy Dems will rally behind.

I would bet that more active duty and veterans are pro Trump than pro liberal....and I'd bet it's not even a close margin... I'd also bet that most of them could care less about this...I could be wrong, but I doubt it...let's see the boards response.

You are correct Steady. I am a retired officer and guarantee you it is at least 70/30 in favor of Trump if not more.

No withstanding the fact that McCrystal is a jerk.........why am I supposed to care if Trump is an "a-hole"?

Any leader worth his salt knows that "civility" doesn't get you very far when the enemy,i.e. every Democrat on the planet, is trying to destroy Western Civilization.

Retired general Mark Hetling, 37 years in the U.S. Army and retired after serving as the Commanding General of U.S. Army Europe and the Seventh Army, today called Trump's attack on McRaven "disgusting" and Trump, himself, a "failure".
"I’d use one word, and that’s ‘disgusting.’ You know, everyone knows Bill McRaven as being the guy that led the bin Laden raid. Having someone like the president of the United States, a man that holds an office that’s supposed to represent all people and who says he supports the military, to just dismiss this great American hero as a guy who was a Hillary Clinton lover, which is patently not true, is just really disgusting."
Commenting also Trump’s decision not to attended Veteran’s Day services at Arlington National Cemetery:
“It’s a factor of leadership. Leaders know what to do, where to be, what things to say. And in all three of those things, I think the president is currently a failure.”

Jesus not this shite again. Trump didn't go to the cemetery because the Secret Service said it wasn't possible to drive the 90 minutes outside of Paris due to traffic and other concerns. It wasn't the presidents call to make.
