Gender reveal parties are intolerant

Ok, so I haven't actually seen someone make this claim yet but I would think it's inevitable.
I'm in my late 20s and married so I'll likely be faced with having to throw one of these parties in the next few years. From what I can tell gender reveal parties are a pretty recent phenomenon and would only involve couples in their 20s and maybe earlier 30s.
As guys can we agree that this is yet another new fad and is really lame? I mean I'll do it with a smile on my face for my wife but I would rather be doing basically anything else on my Saturday afternoon.
Maybe we can use the SJWs to our advantage. Under the radar plant seeds into minds that GR parties are intolerant and authoritarian because we are assigning genders before to individuals before the child is even born. Disgusting display of damaging pressures and social constructs, am I right guy's?

They are just a product of the "look at me" and social media culture. Your wife is probably an attention whore if she wants to have a gender reveal party.

I don't necessarily disagree with you but I do not know anyone my age who are not having these stupid parties.
My wife is actually very soft spoken and hates attention but would inevitably want to have one of these because it's "what people do now"

They're dumb as frick. Of course, I also think the "wait until birth to find out the gender" bit was thought up by some overly sentimental twatbag so maybe I'm just cynical.

Gender reveal parties sound like another free shite opportunity for females and female wannabes. Real men don't do baby showers or any kind of sex reveals except strip bars!
