I am NOT going to belittle this ... thought.

Analogies need not be a "perfect match" to be useful analytical tools. Yes, cosmetic surgery (whether a mammoplasty or some other surgery) shares a NUMBER of characteristics in common with gender transition surgery, just as there are OTHER characteristics that they do not share.

Comparing the similarities and the differences in an analogy is often quite useful in gaining a better understanding of an issue.

You should. Its ridiculous. Akin to saying that adding performance tires to your boat is the same as adding them to your sports car.

How can you have a "honest" discussion when you're not honest with your opinions?

believe there are folks that perceive themselves as trans.

Perceiving and actuality are 2 different things. What do you believe in?

You have to give the Progs/Dims/Groomers credit for their understanding of how to use the written language to confuse and deceive society.

How shallow, to think that one can engage in reasonable discussion ONLY if one has already formed one's opinions.

Women who get breast implants have body dysphoria on what they think their gender should look like.

They are thinking, I guess, I’m a girl, I want to be more girly so I’m going to enhance what I’ve been given. They seem want to look more like the sex they’re born with, not reject it and imagine themselves a different sex.

I’m not a fan of it because I believe it’s generally unnecessary, but it’s not the equivalent to “gender affirming care” you’re trying to make it.

I would expect you to say this when you change your opinions post to post. One can only have an honest discussion when they are honest with their stance otherwise it's arguing for the sake of arguing but you know that don't you Pedohank.

Do you believe that a man cannot ever be a woman and vice versa? Do you believe gender is tied into biological sex?

You don't know if a man can or cannot ever be a woman? You don't have an opinion if sex and gender are tied together?

Of those breast related (primarily cosmetic?) surgeries in 17 year old girls, how many chose to have those surgeries to “become” men?

Zero?

One?

Your analogy is shite.

Chopping off your breasts to appease insane parents, or to give in to your own mental instability, is NOT the same as breast augmentation.

With the exception of the obvious (hermaphroditism) the answer is…

Anything else is gender dysphoria.

I'm leaning towards the not tied or perhaps more or less tied for certain people but who has the answer.... Is this settled science that I missing?

Men share a NUMBER of characteristics with women, just as there are OTHER characteristics that they do not share.

It’s the characteristics that they DO NOT share that are important to the discussion.

If gender is only a social construct, why is it a social construct? If it’s a social construct, what is gained by society in that construct? What is lost by society in deconstructing it?

Perhaps unrelated, perhaps not: Why is it Marxism that is always interested in deconstruction?

I think a man can idenify as a transwoman. I think we should maintain the distinction between transwomen and women.

Yet it's called a " gender reveal" and not a " biological sex reveal". And how do they know to use blue or pink for the gender reveal well they base it on the sex. Gender and biological sex have always been tied together until recently when leftist have tried changing the meaning to fit their agenda.

So you're saying that a trans woman isn't the same as a real woman? Better question " What is a woman"?
