Hamas has created similar traps, even using people who could speak fluid Hebrew, to trick soldiers.

War is hell. Those prisoners would likely be alive today had Hamas not committed the atrocities of October 7th (they likely wouldn't even have been in Gaza, much less having been prisoners trying to escape captivity).
The blame for their deaths is on the heads of the cowards Hamas and their sophist supporters.

I’m not going to hold blame over some young soldiers in an incredibly hostile urban warfare hellscape for shooting these people.
I hold blame over Hamas and their enablers who created this hostage situation and ultimately are the ones responsible for these people’s death. Had their been no October 7th these people would be alive.
