I live in the oil well state of Texas. Most I have ever paid per gallon anywhere. Grocery prices and eating out menu items also sky rocketing. I voted for MAGA but don't see how any of this helps any of us.

Link?

Food inflation in 2026 is well in line with the 40 year average yearly price increase, with the exception of beef

It only shifted the entire geopolitical power away from Russia and China and firmly put the US out from for a decade. Along with eliminating terror from Iran.

You and your kids will never know how important this moment in history was because of what it avoided.

Are some of you unaware of the concept of inflation adjusted prices?

The price you are paying at the pump today are basically identical to the price you paid on the day lsu lost to Wisconsin at Lambeau

Don’t know if voting MAGA in 2016, 2020, and 2024 counts in your world, but I got the bona fides to gripe. And no, this is not a vacation/holiday week end bump either. Gas prices here have been hovering in the $3.99 range since the day after bombing Iran started. And food prices have included sticker shock at groceries and eating out. MAGA becoming more like maga, as in “not so great” lately.

Once the community service cleanup efforts in the middle east are completed, the oil market will crash.

Iran has been weeks away from getting nukes for over 30 years now, so all of this is worth it, not to mention the fresh dollars being pumped into society through running hundreds of billions each year in more deficits.

But, you and I will get roasted for wanting a smaller, non interventionalist government, just like every Trump Firster wanted less than two years ago.

Please Mister Webel, forgive the Jawja in my name. I chose it in 2003 when I joined this madhouse. At that time I lived in Jawja. Since then have also lived in Flowida. Moved to Texas in 2019. As for $3.99 per gal, I was paying that two days ago. I hope you soon get that same $4.15 (or more) privilege real soon. If you do, think of me.
