It always looked like a head fake. Now make them produce a new crop of Dem operatives making almost identical accusations against the new nominee.

Whitaker would have been good, too, but he took the NATO thing.

Couldn't DeSantis appoint Gaetz to fill Rubio's empty Senate seat?

Some folks said this was the play all along. We'll probably never know the real story.

Hopefully the Missouri AG is the next pick. Andrew Bailey.

If you could get Bailey as AG and Gaetz as his wingman that may be even better?

These accusations pre-date his selection and seem pretty legitimate

There’s a chance that we found the line in the sand for sycophants getting important positions. The line in this case is the school zone.

Does he retake his House seat in January?

Would that mean the Ethics Committee could release its report?

Yea, the nuances of that will be the determining factor as far as what his resignation applied to.

DeSantis was running with the idea of having a special election just before or around the time the new Congress seats in January, which leads me to believe that Gaetz gave up the "new" seat as well. But we will see.

If he stays in Congress, they’ll release the report.

Has Patel been named to FBI or is that all still just speculation? Either he or Paxton would be big home runs at AG.
