Pretty important detail there. Highly doubt they would merely dismiss those other remaining charges without something in return.

If Gaetz did something illegal, he should face charges. It's very simple. You'll never find a liberal who will say the same about Sleepy, Hunter, or any of their demigods.

Exactly - the same consequences that would apply to any democrat in the same circumstances. My guess at this point is that he can produce evidence and testimony that will prove his innocence, but the dems will still use the allegation to force him out of office or lose the next election.

The key word there is "should". Yes, they *all* should face charges.
Yet, some of them will, and some of them won't. The ones that will face charges all have something in common... and the ones that won't face charges all have something in common. And guilt/innocence is not among those commonalities.
