Now they have something to focus on instead of Biden failures and COVID tyranny

This country has always been obsessed with these types of stories. Pretty easy distraction.

So, Joe had her killed , framed the boyfriend, all to distract ?

This makes the actual murder of Seth Rich , who worked at the DNC , seem like a routine Hillary snuffing.

Because it was.

But this isn't anything of the sort.

Nugget did use the term convenient distraction. The media won't let something like that go unleveraged.

Dont think the OP mentioned this at all. Its the media that is distracting. You think women dont go missing every day?

Media just waits for the right time to play the story cause they know the country will watch.

No one is implying that this is some kind of intentional false flag, just than an opportunistic media pounced on this story to distract from more important things, like the border, inflation, Afghanistan, etc

This. Dateline, 48 Hours, ID Channel, etc have been covering similar murder mysteries for over three decades, and not all of the cases received national media coverage.

They pick the "right" one when it's useful as a distraction or for easy ratings.

I never claimed that was the case. Which is why I asked, for clarification.

2 entirely different matters. Yes, the MEDIA will try to hype this story up, but these sorts of mysteries happen from time to time, and generally have a following on their own, organically.

As for missing women and young girls, I recall the previous administration cracking down on forced prostitution, just as one example, but the media turned its attention away , because....

Unlike the Jessie Smollett staged attack ( with likely ties to Kamala Harris ) this story involves a real girl ending up dead.

It's notable on itself, and has a natural audience. Same sorts of folks who gravitated towards the Jon Benet Ramsey murder, Casey Anthony and the murder of her young daughter Caylee, etc...

I dismiss the view that the media is hyping this story up for reasons other than basic tabloid draw. I think any time a young woman ends up dead and her YouTube co-star / fiancé also goes missing after being named a person of interest would make for a major story. Look for a TV movie before 2022 is over.

I'll see your Nirvana quote, and raise a Stone Sour quote...

opportunistic media

Considering they've had to cover up for Joe's handling of Covid19, the Afghan retreat, the border crisis, the 3.5 trillion dollar vote buying scam called the 'infrastructure' bill, and screeching WH press aides who badger down any reporter who dares to do their job... yeah, I get it.

But I also think this is a story which would garner its own whirl wind of attention, regardless.

It's a win win. It distracts us and they can call us racists because missing black girls don't distract us.

unfortunately, despite being only one of hundreds of victims of possible foul play in the U.S.,
she checks every box that will bring clicks and views

People disappear everyday , Thousands die everyday . Zero make 4k documentaries before they go . Convenient mishap and narrative distraction just as Biden and his handlers are getting their shite pushed in . Look squirrel…..

With not much else worthwhile to watch on tv., the news more often than not is a constant. The Petito case has not dominated the news to the point of exclusion of other stories. Today's coverage seemed to be mostly centered on the Haitian evasion on the border and not on Gabby.

Is this story really big enough to be a distraction?

It's one of the less intriguing big missing women stories I can recall.

You know something about the way the media has covered the story has seemed odd to me since it first started, I mean even local news in east Texas is covering it and used it as a lead story as if it’s some local girl.
You hate to see something like this take place but the obvious forced attention to it does make it seem like something else is in play. Just think of how many missing persons happen in this nation each day, why single out this one? Think of all the violent crimes, homicides, rapes, kidnappings, that happen every week in this country, why is the news, both local and national, heaping time and attention on this particular incident.
Don’t get me wrong, if it actually happened, it’s bad but there is some much fake and optically delusional news now that it’s hard to say if it’s real or distraction.

Cobain would have been as bad as any of the rest of the grunge heroes of our youth that have sold out completely to the nanny state.
