Maybe it’s because I’m in Central California. But for the years that I went out to the fields, groves and orchards I can’t recall seeing black farmers. Latinos, Asians and Caucasian dudes all over the place. But black farmers... not that I can recall. Hell, there weren’t any in the sales offices or shipping departments either. Where in the heck were they all this time?

Black Farmers

All dozen of them will be thrilled

I remember when the USDA passed a loan program back in the late 90s to get more black and women catfish farmers into the industry here and quite a few got loans. Then the processors called their fish off flavor until they went broke and the banks who only had to cover like 10% of the loans took over the farms and were in charge of selling off the fish and assets and I think pay the Govt their share but they did it all at night and sold fish for cash to processors and cooked the books, told Govt most of the fish inventory simply wasn’t there.

I want to say about 75 million dollars was stolen and there are no minority or women catfish farmers left

I know of maybe 2 or 3 black rowcrop farmers around here. They don’t actually grow much they plant, spray it minimum required times, and collect Govt subsididzed crop insurance. They might grow 30 bushel beans and 125 bushel corn on a good year

black farmers get hit harder by Covid than white farmers?
do you have the stats? They might have been if COVID impacted smaller farms who are more likely to be black-owned

Does this board now only consist of 100% self-identifying black female farmers?

Warnock must be defeated. We need a good conservative candidate.

Ain't gonna happen. The limp-wristed georgia pubbies have been bought off and compromised by the red chinese. Damn, I'm ashamed of the old home state. I need to get out of the house for a while and get some fresh air.

Auntie Stacey hates farmers... awkward!

Farmers grow healthy food. She can't get her buckets of diabetes from a farmer.

Have these folks even seen crop prices? I am all about helping farmers, but if they don't make money this year, they need to find another career. Unreal.

Black farmers in Southern Georgia supported Perdue in the election because Perdue was astute enough to get federal subsidies redirected from corporate farms over to the black farmers. Warnock wants to be able to say the same thing, even though it is really Perdue's program.

Perdue was a really good senator and as high quality person as can be found. It was a shame to lose him to race baiter like Warnock. Literally, there were no valid reasons to vote for Warnock. Without the voter fraud ennoblement in Georgia, Perdue would have won on the 1st ballot

Because that wouldn’t be racist and today’s Democrat is a complete racist.

To be fair, so was “yesterday’s” Democrat... look at their track record: the KKK, Jim Crow, blocking the doorway of the Univ of Alabama, Robert Byrd in his KKK garb, blocking inner-city school vouchers, funding Planned Parenthood, ignoring black inner-city murders....

If you are a Democrat... you are racist, or one stupid MF’er... take your pick.
