This is another thing that DJT is willing to say that no one else will.

There is really no point to NATO.

It's outdated, and they won't pay their share.

And please don't bring up Putin, shills. He doesn't care about NATO. He has enough problems, including Russia. This was an idea that Our President had in mind way before the lebs came up with Mush Russians.

An idea whose time has come

The need for NATO and the UN has passed. It's basically the USA world police and financier with a handful of troops from other places. frick all this. We are neither the world police nor the world piggy bank.

We could fix all of our roads and rebuild all of our schools if we just kept our money at home.

While at the same time hyperventilating over the defense spending bill.

No thanks. I'd rather not completely destroy the international order. If Trump tried that he would deserve to be impeached. Absolutely moronic.

You think Putin doesn't care about NATO?

Really?

It's one of the main reasons he took Crimea for fricks sake.

How does withdrawing from NATO destroy the international order?

He took Crimea because it was a strategic military location.

Kick the UN to Europe. Let them House that nest of spies.

Leave NATO and let them defend themselves. Not one US life more in the defense of foreign soil.

Also good for our economy.

Exactly. And it's strategic because NATO and American allies have him boxed in.

If trump thought of this on his own he either has likely not thought it through or used his guts rather than studying data. Trump is not to be trusted with upsetting the world order so that he can appease his largely gullible and emotional base with a talking point. Finally, putin does not want nato despite others posts. That alone is enough to stay with nato and have them pay a fair share.
Point: if trump wants something it is purely politically motivated and probably not good for the USA. He is too unknowing to trust on big issues despite his self hype.
