In that region of France there are maybe 8-13 people per square mile. Farm country.....and cattle ranches the further east you go.

I had a good number of Islamic studies courses in college. You'll never guess where the allegiance of the professors leaned towards. Particularly when the last paper I ever turned in was about the entire history and concept of the green line in Cyprus and why it had to occur. They didn't like my conclusion, to say the least.
You average run of the mill American thinks Saudi Arabia and Iran are friends. They can't really express how Islam spread around the world and they think it's older than Christianity.
Lots and lots of great, good hearted Muslims out there. The majority. But the bad ones are hell bent on racking up the body counts, and they are quit good at firing up the dumb ones with next to no education because there's only 1 book with all the answers.
