Could you imagine the theatrics if Trump nominated the Chief Justice?

That’s understandable. In spite of health advances and protections, there is still a high likelihood of exposure to Malaria in the Caribbean

As opposed to when?

The entire left is in a perpetual state of theatrical overreaction. They have the emotional poise of a teenage girl.

The thermonuclear response would be if he replaced any of the leftist judges, but make no mistake if he sneezes they’ll report it as a threat to democracy.

Roberts believes he contracted the disease while on vacation in Indonesia, spending two weeks there before returning early August.

Though he doesn’t remember being bitten, he started feeling sick about 10 days after returning home.

So he's not sure if he got it in Indonesia or in the US from immigrants.

Is it bad I was excited that Trump might get to replace him?

Probably not, but who knows. The timeline he gave indicates that he likely got it in Indonesia, as malaria has a incubation period of at least a week before you can possibly show symptoms. Given the severity, it was likely Plasmodium falciparum. To add to this evidence, he notes that he had irregular fevers with 'wild swings in temperature every hour.' The other plasmodium species have more regular fever spikes.

It's definitely the drug I would want to have if I was traveling anywhere in tropical or subtropical regions.

I took care of a patient with Malaria years ago. It was unbelievable how much he perspired. His gown and sheets were soaking wet and needed to be changed often. He was rehydrated with IV fluids and as much as he could tolerate to drink.
