Geraldo Rivera said in an appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Friday morning that it’s tough to see former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani “deteriorate” in live television interviews.

“I’ve known him since he was a newly-appointed U.S. attorney in the Southern District here in New York. Then he became ‘America’s Mayor,’ and we all lived through that trauma with him when he was the most magnificent elected official on earth. To see him kind of deteriorate right before your very eyes — and I love the guy — but I think that this is…,” Rivera said.

Remember when that wave from Hurricane Ike took Geraldo out in Galveston? Funny stuff.

Geraldo makes some pretty big blunders himself from time to time.

But his statements about Rudy are spot-on. Rudy is becoming an embarrassment to the Trump agenda.

Well yeah. That was almost 20 years ago and he was old then.

I can remember watching that shitshow.

I agree with Geraldo.

This version of Rudy is no bueno.

He refuses or can’t speak slowly, concisely, staying on topic, and with specifics

It’s maddening to watch him.

Geraldo's biggest complaint wasn't that Rudy went to Ukraine to look for corruption evidence as any good former US prosecutor would do. He was upset that Trump did not label him a "special envoy" or whatever to do the digging.

Unless Rudy is right. Then he will be remembered as a hero.

I will agree with this. And I hope this is how things work out. I've been a fan of Rudy for a long time.

However, the past two months on TV, he's been nothing more than a rambling, incoherent argumentative mouth piece. It could be that he truly has uncovered the crime(s) of our generation.

Or, it could be that he is so heavily vested emotionally on finding the smoking gun, that his judgement is impaired. He's been talking about evidence for 2 months... hasn't produced anything that could be used in court. He may have it in his possession, but what he's disclosed so far is not reliable.

If Trump is using Rudy as a decoy/head fake, genius, pure genius.

So if Geraldo's Daughter were holding the same Records in her hand that Rudy has...would she be "deteriorating"?

Rudy is a fighter. He despises gangsters. He also went to Ukraine as Trump's LAWYER, to find evidence (of the which was in the public sphere, but being ignored, for obvious reasons) to refute accusations and potential charges against his Client.

Watch and see. Geraldo has skeletons in his closet; personal or monetary. He knows what went down; they all do. No walking the fence on this one. Bongino will call him out sooner or later...and there will be fisticuffs.

Rudy doesn’t have shite. He’s a senile mess on the level of Hannity. Trump is embarrassing himself by having this clown in his orbit.

Rudy is getting kind of old.....should probably get off TV and work behind the scenes.

Still, he will always be a badass in my eyes.
