The power crazed cop was banging on his door while the homeowner told him to go away and that he had called 911.
100% with the homeowner here.
The state should pay to fix his door at a minimum and the trooper should be fired.

….huh? Can’t believe this dipshit got away with this.

Completely justified shooting him through the door.
A lot of people in this thread apparently would let the attacker shoot through the door first before returning fire, or just open the door for the attacker to make things "fair."

We had a LEO here in SC shoot a homeowner through the door a couple of years ago. The homeowner's alarm system going off is what got the LEO to the house in the first place. The LEO saw the homeowner pointing a gun through the window of the front door and blasted the guy thinking he was a burglar. Fortunately, the homeowner survived. The LEO wasn't charged with anything.
FTW had a deal like this a year or so ago. Cop answering a neighbors break in next door call. cop looking thru windows, woman inside with gun wanting to see what's going on outside, suddenly appears in window probably scares cop who shoots and kills her. I think it's the only non-legit white cop/black person killing of 2020.
Of course it was a white cop that killed a black woman. He's going to jail and the woman is getting a memorial hwy in her name. Freaking clown world. Yeah that's the thing to do now in DFW now. Change street names to blacks that get killed by whitey cops.
And yes it's all sad, but the way the blacks capitalize on it all makes you lose all "give a damns"

If the story is true, then the cop deserved to get shot. He followed them through traffic and a parking lot and then showed up at their house. This is threatening behavior.

I’m confused on what you’re saying is non-legit here?

But he should face something for shooting through a door when an innocent kid or bystander could have easily been shot here. He put the lives of folks around that neighborhood in danger with that move.
Complete and utter bullshite.
Dude ran all across town, called 911, warned the guy to leave.
And you want him charged because you FEEL like someone MIGHT have been injured accidentally, even though they were not.
Please man, get a grip.

He's lucky he shot the guy. IF the guy was behind the door, he was shooting aimlessly and blind. He should not be off the hook because he got lucky, that is not how it should work.
If he missed and a kid was shot in the head, your entire argument is that he should still face no charges. But here you are telling me to get a grip while arguing logic like this.

That's how it works for police.

You can play that what-if game with any justified shooting. All that matters is whether he was justified, not how you feel about it

Surprised he didnt face charges honestly
Thats kinda bad form
He could see him through the camera, he was trespassing, threatening, and hadn’t really identified himself as a LEO.
I don’t want anybody shot ever but I’m ecstatic this guy wasn’t charged.

Perfectly legal. Legal here in Louisiana too if they are attempting to gain entry and entry is imminent. You don't have to see the whites of their eyes.
Granted, you should always know what's behind your target.

I think he’s saying out of Floyd, Brooks, and the Blake, there was no legit reason for the shooting here and the officer was justifiably charged.
Not that I think the others should or shouldn’t be charged (Chauvin definitely should have been charged IMHO, but with lesser a one) but he’s saying that it was legit white coo shooting a black person that should be under scrutiny.
