He's a moderate...just what the country needs in both parties. I think everyone is tired of the extreme wings of each party bashing each other for political gain and accomplishing little that matters to everyday Americans.

I have family there, all MAGA and they voted D on that election. They like him much more than the other. They are still MAGA

He is coping.

He knows what is going to happen, so this way he can say "we didn't show up, that's why we lost"

Not that they lost the approval of the American people

I’m a republican. But let me tell you right now that Republicans are going to get annihilated this year. Any seat that Trump didn’t win by at least 10 points is probably going to go blue.

I know it’s difficult when you live in this echo chamber message board, but whether it’s right or wrong, illogical or logical, people are not happy with the last year. You can believe that, or you cannot believe that, but the Republicans are going to get their nuts blown off in November.

Ah yes.

Dems win = voter fraud and "stolen election".

Reps win = God's divine intervention.

It is impossible for a county to flip that much in one election cycle without cheating.
Did the GOP cheat in 2010?

Went from a 2008 Dem SUPERMAJORITY to the GOP controlling both houses of Congress

Looks like the turnout was about 1/3rd of the general election back in 2022. 95k compared to 278k. Democrat votes were about half of what they were in 2022. Looks like a case of plain old crap turnout.

Voters gave Trump and Republicans a clear mandate in 2024 and they’ve failed to deliver results. Many republicans have even actively worked against that mandate. Why vote for them? I won’t be. I’ll be staying home in November. frick all of them

I think this thinking is where conservatives are getting tripped up. Trump won the popular vote by less than 2%. In the electoral college his comfortable win hinged on a few states swinging back towards the conservative wing but all in a similarly tight margin. Trump ran against a sub-in candidate who is not even well-liked within her constituency. Since she was the VP to an unpopular sitting President from her party, she couldn't even distance herself from her party's failings while controlling the presidency.

The Trump/GOP had every factor in their favor yet only barely won the house, secured a small senate majority, and their on-paper Presidential election romp wasn't as much of a breeze as it seems by the final EC tally.

I think the GOP gassed themselves up over the 3 branch control and out-ran the extent of their actual mandate.

Again people vote for how their particular life is going.

Most middle class individuals are still under the assault of H1B, AI, and affordability.

Trump is pro H1-B, has done virtually the bare minimum to actual curtail this. He could end H1-B , OPT with the stroke of a pen and hasnt.

Trump is pro AI which currently is removing numerous jobs and the jobs that are not given to H1-B are moved offshore at no consequence to the tech oligarchy.

Most importantly, Trump has lost a large swath of everyone under 40 due to the pretentious, insane, and absolutely idiotic stance of having to save the boomer housing prices at the cost of literally every young person's chance.

So yeah im not fricking shocked this shite is occurring and will continue to occur nationwide including November.

Not to many folks lives have actually improved since last year.
