Most don't understand supply and demand, which sorta hampers their ability to have an informed opinion.
Kind of like when ford couldn’t finish building cars because the delay in supplies from other countries didn’t meet the demand for completed vehicles back home.
Raising the prices of vehicles.
The supply of finished vehicles didn’t meet the demands here. Used car prices went up as well.

Well, if they are getting parts and goods from countries with tariffs instead of producing them in the US, then yes, they will have to raise prices.

Both, and I'm 100% positive that none are on a message board spreading doom and gloom about Trumps tarrifs.
All I'm doing is giving you the traditional conservative view of tariffs, which obviously are like putting holy water on a demon.
All that complaining about Inflation was bullshite. You folks want higher costs.

There are plenty of alternatives from personal to fleet sales. Some people will pay the price anyway, but the stealership sales should lag.

Are you wearing clothes and shoes made in America? You can pay more now for an American to produce the things you buy, but you probably don't.
Whenever possible yes. I do look at tags and labels. But somethings (especially electronics) are almost all overseas.
But I would be willing to pay more if a quality product was made in the US.

Why would an American company pay a tariff? ....Hmmm
Second... if your competitors are forced to raise prices, why wouildn't you raise prices too?

It's possible now, you're either doing it or you're not.
I'm not trying to bust your balls but the number of people who claim they want to pay more for US goods doesn't line up with our current consumer choices. If you don't currently pay more for US made shoes or shirts I don't know why you'd do it for a truck or anything else.

I don't know what's more disturbing. That someone would ask such a stupid question or that they would get so many up votes for asking such a stupid question.

If you weren’t complaining about inflation and are complaining about tariffs. You don’t actually care about high prices.

People already pay more for foreign made shoes.
That Tech degree working for you.
And Atlanta proves that out. Plenty of people walking around in $300 foreign made sneakers.

Half of America cant afford American produced products without some foreign components.
The reason we have this issue is our workers make a lot of money compared to other nations and our consumers spend a lot of money, and its due to monetary policy.
Until our spending issue is fixed, this will be a constant problem..
If you want balanced trade, a much "poorer" USA would be necessary.

You attempted to bring that up the last time this was discussed. It doesn't make any more sense now than it did then.
People claim to want to buy American but they don't, and typically that's because the alternative is cheaper. The fact that Nike can charge $200 for a $20 glued together sneaker doesn't change that or have anything to do with it at all.

I've bitched about inflation since the day I heard "15 days to stop the spread."
You would have too if you could understand what happened. You people used to agree with me.

I’ll keep driving my Acura, thanks. I might take a ‘91 F150 XLT 4WD Lariat for a good price, preferably extended cab. Send pics.

Ford is not going to put themselves out of business.
If they raise prices, they will lower them quickly when sales crash.
As for future, prices may go up, as they always do, but there will be more jobs and the wages will increase.
