No I get why the CEO gets paid more. I also get how much money Ford actually makes.....so I don't see the problem

They then count on getting a wack job, corrupt communist like Biden to shut those plants down. Like Obama did with the right to work state plants in 2008. The Ford Hapeville, Georgia plant, the Chevy Atlanta plant and the Saturn plant in Tennessee, plus probably others that I don't know.

Unless something has changed, and I am absolutely sure it has not, part of the contract is no non-union plants in the US or Canada.
If the contract expires, then there is no contract, right? Ford is losing thousands on every EV truck the sell. Something must give and UAW has been running roughshod for way too long.

They are expected to lose $4.5B on EVs this year.

I got a better idea. Quit selling EVs. Maybe the unions need to band together and threaten to tank US auto industry if they don't get their hands off our cars. Quit regulating them into stupid ideas that are expensive and don't sell. Would be incredible to see the people fight the government this way. All major unions threaten to stop paying taxes and stop producing product.

Then again, that plan might just be saving this administration some time and effort.

Me too, but these union fricktards are fierce. At plants at my old company, they would sabotage equipment if negotiations went sour. They’d blockade entrances and harass non-union employees as they entered and exited. They’d leave menacing notes at employees homes or on cars.

Yeah. These idiots would potentially murder someone to protect their cushy jobs.

Muh job is to sit in this Herman Miller chair and watch this screen and push this button. If the room catches on fire, it’s not muh job to put it out. Even if it was muh fault during one of my six 15 minute smoke breaks required by muh union shop.

If they want to maintain their billions and billions in profits instead of just simply billions in profits, yes probably. But they don't have to move. They want the cheapest labor possible. If China didn't have their current stigma, they'd absolutely go there.

I personally would love to pay $50,000 for a car worth $30,000. Makes all the sense in the world.

Why not reward the people who built the cars?

Sad you got down voted. It's starting to look like the CEOs of these companies are the majority member of TD.

Seems you already have that option. Probably have for a while. Hell you probably pay 75000 for a truck that cost 25000 to build. Ford has been very excited about their profits. They're causing this fuss because their EV mess is costing billions instead of earning. Ford is cutting off their own foot with this EV nonsense. What these union folks are producing is what is earning billions over the top of Ford's overhead cost.

But anything to keep it from affecting America's bravest and best: corporate executives

I am not saying give these idiots nothing. Sure, give them 5-6% a year over the next 4 years. However, frick you on 32 hour work weeks and pensions.

Oh, and if they.continue to be salty stop the profit sharing.

Not illegal to close the plants there and move to a non communist state.

A pay raise will not drive them into bankruptcy. Tats not what did it the first time. You know what will and is driving them into bankruptcy? The government and it's regulations. Remind us how well Ford EVs are doing that the government mandated?
