And loss smell. How long did it take to come back ?

Still waiting for the most part, but I was diagnosed on Friday. Symptoms started on Tuesday. The only reason I got tested was because I lost my sense of smell Friday. I did notice a can get a faint whiff of somethings today but very faint. It's quite trippy to know that something should have a smell but you can't smell it. No issues with taste.

100% confident I had it in February before we even had a confirmed case in OK. Went to doctor, she said it wasn't a sinus infection, that my sinuses looked normal. Still prescribed me Zithromax. Loss of smell was 100%.

Started getting it back in about July, on and off. Now almost a year later, I have about 70% smell half the time, and 20% or less smell the other half of the time. I've pretty much conceded that it will never fully recover.

I use Flonase daily just to have any smell at all. If I skip it 2 straight days, I lose smell completely for a week.

frick China!

Can take forever. We received a call from the kids' school that one of their classmates tested positive... 2 days after the test. Two days before Christmas, I noticed that I had a new deep pain in my lungs with a lot of mucus and a worsening cough. I worked into the early morning hours to get some work done for my consultancy and realized I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I went to a drive thru and picked up a breakfast sandwich. It was then that I realized completely lost my sense of smell and most of my sense of taste. Got tested at the local CVS.

I would say I'm still not 100%, about a month later. I can taste umami, and I can taste acids, but chocolate ice cream doesn't taste the same, and there is a flavor additive in an energy drink I like (mostly to smooth out the acidity) that I still can't taste. Might be the same food sciencey ingredient. No idea.

I read that book back in the 60s.
I bought a couple of copies and sent them to my High School History Teachers.

It’s a strange virus. It’s as if we all went to the same COVID restaurant, had the same menus but ordered differently. If we all had the flu our symptoms would be nearly identical with the variations being severity and duration.

Daughter got it two days after Christmas. She still can't smell or taste great, but she did smell my fart on Saturday. Wife got it around New Years and is finally getting everything back. Son got it about the same time and he still can't smell. I think I had it earlier or am asymptomatic, as I was around all of them the whole time and never developed one symptom. I never got tested either.
ETA: It was all like a sinus infection to them. No fever, aches, chills, or breathing problems just a bad head cold for about a week.

I had it back on October. Never lost taste, but my ability to smell at a distance is basically gone. For example, every morning when I would wake up I could smell my coffee brewing in the kitchen when I walked in the room. Now I can't smell it unless I stick my nose into the pot. But it smells and tastes the same as it always did.

Maybe it's psychological, who knows

I just got it a few weeks ago. No sinus/smell issues for the first 4-5 days (only the mild body aches and fever and some lung sensitivity) but by day 6 it felt like I had developed a major sinus infection, couldn't breathe, sinus headache, etc. Lost smell around day 7. By the next week (day 12-14) the sinus infection symptoms were receding steadily and I could smell most things just fine again. Now about a month out and I can smell everything normally. So I only lost smell for a few days, not even a whole week.

About 4 days for me. Had fatigue and a dull headache for a few days. Then smell disappeared. Taste was pretty muted but I could still taste “salty” or “sweet”. Then day three after losing my smell I started getting a little whiff of things here or there. It was mostly back the next day then day five I was full go with the smell.

This was a part of the Chinese plan. Kill American's sense of smell and taste, and they will more willingly put up with a Chinese invasion.

Eat dogs and skip bathing for weeks at a time? No problem.

I'm in day 13 of the virus. I lost it about day 4 and just this morning I've started being able to faintly smell strong smells again. As in, jamming my nose right up again a scented candle, I can barely smell it. But it's better than no smell at all, I guess.
