We did drop atom bombs on Japan.. in order to end the war and to prevent massive casualties of US Soldiers.

Had we had to invade the mainland, the death toll would have been astronomical.

My father fought in the South Pacific. He was also part of the occupation force after the war.

He often spoke of his time there..How he went in hating all the "Japs" and left feeling a love and respect for them as a people.

The US spent millions of dollars rebuilding Japan and Germany. Gave them back their country and became allies.

What Putin is doing in no way compares. He is a murderous KGB thug.. it amazes me that so many of you seem to think he's a "Good guy" or somehow justify what he's doing.
