Ford's pardoning of Nixon was pretty much the nail in the coffin that gave us Jimmah Carter.

No. There should be no pardon.

Nope, nope, nope. "For the good of the country" and "We need to heal and come together" are empty canards.

Trump was elected partially because people are tired of seeing the justice system work differently for the powerful.

Investigate her and if she broke the law, put her on trial.

Maybe a pardon for the emails. NO PARDON for the Clinton Foundation and the ongoing investigations there.

no, all corruption should be rooted out, no matter where it is, or who it leads to.

sweeping all the sheet under the rug was how we got to this point in the first place.

this was a change election, doing the same ol same ol is not exceptable

I might go along with putting her in "conjugal visit" prison vs "pound me in the arse" prison, but that's all I'm willing to concede.

I hope Obama does issue a pardon for everyone for all potential past crimes associated with the server........ It's time to bury that.

That does not include the CGI investigation. If that is a criminal enterprise, then so be it.

I would want to know what the pardon was for or at a minimum have the foundation shut down.

Aka if we are going to pardon you for shady stuff lets close the vehicle to do it

That's why politicians like her do what they do, because they know damn well there will be no repercussions.

quote:

Although I'd love to see Hillary prosecuted and thrown in jail, a pardon is probably a favor to a Trump admin. This will allow Trump to not burn political capital on prosecuting Hillary and he can spend his capital on other initiatives that will MAGA.

This. We need to focus on running the country, let the Clintons melt away.

No. frick that. The Clintons are criminals. For the good of the country, a statement needs to be made that nobody is above the law.

Eurocrat, I can see your point, but you're thinking too much like a politician.

Sometimes you just have to do what's right. And some people are going to like it, and some people won't. And you just accept it.

If Trump backs away from prosecuting Hillary, he will take a major credibility hit with his own people. Don't alienate your own supporters in a vain effort to win favor with those who are not your supporters.

No good comes from not prosecuting Hillary other than not "being a meanie." Pretty much everyone who elected Trump is okay with him being mean.

You are forgetting one thing, Euro. The MSM has no curiosity about HRC investigations. They won't ask one damned thing about her.

All they're going to want to know is when will Trump begin sending Pedro and his homies back to their countries of origin. Will there be a Muslim ban? What about the wall? What is he going to do for LGBT Americans? What mean things did he say today?
