Based on what I am seeing at my Publix carry is probably necessary.

I was in the Publix in Mt Dora, well ... Eustis, a couple of weeks ago and there were a couple of guys OCing, I talked to one from Apopka in the liquor isle, he invited me to his range ... and any number of us were carrying and printing. It was all very natural ... no biggie.

Same thing here in SC ... although I NEVER open carry (for personal reasons/beliefs) I am ALWAYS always packin'.

Walmart allows open carry as well ... at least here they do. As does Lowes and Home Depot for that matter. As does the Post Office recently. Not sure what changed their minds.

I have no problem with it and I live in Florida but I will still conceal carry.

Why? I live in SC.

Because too many fricking yankees are moving into this state, and suckeyes, and the increased traffic from both said carpetbaggers and the heavy trucks required to build homes for said carpetbaggers, are tearing up our once pristine roads.

We're growing by more than a million carpetbaggers a year. The fastest growing state, per capita and by land mass, in the country. And everything below the fall line is sand .... and our tax structure is not built to keep up with the necessary infrastructure needs right now .... not just roads, but schools, water, sewer, electricity, airports, hospitals, golf courses, ... it's all overburdened.

Where are you from? And where are you living now weagle? What brought you here?

Don't lie. Tell the truth.

TBH - Publix is too expensive for low class criminals

Yea I was about to say I’ve never seen the type of customers you’d feel unsafe around in publix

They don’t cater to those kind of folks

Good for them. Tell the White Karen's to frick off cause the guy with a coat stretches some to grab something high up for her, giving her a peek of his concealed gun, and she freaks out calling the cops.

Fricking White womenz.

That all makes sense. Our state is slowly turning into Delaware

I am a native who is living over in the western part of the state near the Savannah River.

What most disappoints me is that SCDOT will ‘rebuild’ a road and the quality is so mediocre. A freshly paved road shouldn’t be bumpy.

Also, next time you are on I20 between Columbia and Lexington notice how the top of the concrete divided is wavy, almost like it was done by hand. shite quality.

I stand by this. If you are in an event you will need legal representation immediately to speak to the police on your behalf ( Never talk to the police afterwards!). There are NRA endorsed attorneys around, recommend you consider it

I'm pro gun AF, but I don't think we need open carry in supermarkets. It's just not that common, and if you do you'll stick out like a sore thumb.

Did you see that amigo get KO'ed in Costco yesterday?

I personally think that sometimes it's an advantage if your weapon is concealed.

But sometimes it's an advantage if it's not.

Let us all remember that Poncho wore his gun outside his pants for all the honest world to see. Maybe Lefty kept his in an ankle holster, we don't know.

You then have figure out if it's an active shooter or some yahoo looking for attention.

But isn't the whole point that if that person can look around and see that 20 other people are armed in the store, the chances that he's going to decide to be an active shooter approach zero?

It would be like deciding to walk into a police station and opening fire.

I don't know. I know in Israel people walk around with their military weapons slung across their backs all the time when they're off duty. Women be shopping for shoes downtown with a Tavor X95 around their necks.

They seem to do o.k. in that kind of culture.

A lot of these open carry people are a "look at me" type person. I would much rather be armed and the "bad guys" not know it. To each his own though

I generally make the assumption that the open carrier is a moron. But I do it quietly.

I personally would never open carry in Publix. I, nor does Publix, "expect" any of their customers to actually open carry in their stores. You can be certain, sure they "polled/obtained/analyzed" accurate data before deciding!

But NONE of the above matters!

Nor whether you agree, disagree.
Or whether you think open carry is wise/unwise - necessary/unnecessary.

Publix's DECISION & MESSAGE to Allow "Open Carry" of Guns......
(and the tremendous psychological affect it will engender)

IS WHAT IS RELEVANT, IMPORTANT & ALL THAT MATTERS!!

Hell......you can leave your Gun @ Home now while Grocery Shopping at Publix.

** The Corporate Public Statement & Overt/Covert Publicity Publix will Recieve will add/bring an enormous increase in actual safety while on their properties. The unconscious, yet powerful general mood, feeling & attitude amongst customers while inside/outside Publix stores while shopping, or even thinking about shopping there, WILL RESULT in a Significant + Positive + Immediately Obvious & Visible "Increase in Conservative Demographic Customers + Market Growth"! **

~ Everyone is Worn Out, Fatigued over all the INSANE Liberal, Woke, Total Lack of Prosecution/Justice by Democrat D.A.'s/Judges, Cashless Bail & Release of Repeat Violent Criminals, Violent Anti Ice Protests & Open Insurrection, etc. etc. ~

Publix' symbolically "Reversed" the above public Sentiment/Fatigue felt by the VAST VAST MAJORITY of Americans who have had to "powerlessly watch/witness" the Lunacy, Insanity continue with support by the Liberal MSM, Woke Political Policies.

WATCH the Effect & Result of the INGENIOUS "Public Relations Campaign" - subtly, yet powerfully employed - by Publix Corporate!!

They pulled an "Anti Woke" Reversal by making a POWERFUL decision, public statement giving back the POWER (Armed Gun Self Protection/Defense) by supporting/allowing sane, law abiding Civilians (Customers) to Feel + Be safe while shopping @ their stores!

Poncho, “look at meeee”, dead
Lefty, quietly defends himself, lives

Best for the bad guy to have no idea where the fire will come from. Just ask Combo
