know it looks pretty red now, but let's hope the Great Migration from California doesn't change this.

It will. I’ve got family in Colorado before the great Cali migration. No way to sugar coat it, they’re about to get californicated. Locust.

Idaho one of the States I have never been to. It sounds peaceful and the economy is good, no?. Just like SD & ND always seem to have good economies.

What is the weather like in Utah? I remember going when I was in my teens and going to the Morton salt place lake and floating on water. I think it was Utah...

If you haven’t been, then go. About an hour drive from Spokane. Big Lake around the town, can drive up the mountain straight to ski slopes. It’s got everything but it feels spacious.

Southern Utah, like St George for example, is hot. Very hot in the summer. Triple digits most days.

I have only visited the norhter area once, so I'm not qualified to say. The Salt Lake area is beautiful though. I know that much

That was a second criterion. He wanted a place that was cold. For some reason, he loves cold weather.

My youngest son... a teenager... has decided that when he moves out, he wants someplace cold some of the year. As in snow and ice cold. He's spent his whole life in a state where it's sweltering better than half the year.

As someone who spent enough time up North to experience snow tires, sliding on ice, salt in the roads, and dirty slush on the ground for months at a time, I think he might change his mind. But he often surprises me. He asked where he could go that it's colder more of the year than not, and I said "Well.... Alaska". He seems intrigued.

On a cold day, you could be wearing three layers of puffy jackets.

I don’t think it’s hard though, truly, it’s comfortable with the right clothing, there’s no solution to muggy weather.

Sounds like my kid. We'll see if the fascination wears off after a year or two of shoveling snow

Seeing Cali plates fairly often these days.

They need to go back. We don't want them here.

Not competently. And that matters to some companies.

In my experience... and I work in IT... the best Indians (dot, not feather) are HERE already. The best and the brightest seem to make a point to getting to the US, by hook or by crook. That doesn't mean that all the ones that make it here are good... a lot, especially those brought En Masse on corporate contracts via H1B... tend to be Meh at best. And some are just plain bad.

Didn’t the Governor say he would track you down like dirty pony soldiers and make you pay off California’s debt?!

Regarding my post in the other thread you responded to. Do politicians in California realize how spectacularly bad they have to be at politics that they are losing residents to Idaho?

If he’s got a rig, then he’s probably trying to save on the cost of air conditioning

He was born and raised in Tennessee. Conservative as shite. One of his writing projects last year was a pilot he sold to FX for a show making fun of SJW cheerleaders
