Did democrats crossover to vote for Nikki in Florida?
Florida is a closed primary state, so no.
This was the Charlie Crist Republicans that voted for Haley. There are a lot of them in Florida. They are usually NYC snowbirds that have become Florida residents. They live in the Atlantic coast cities.

So can they vote in primary and vote in general for different party?
You can if you change your party affiliation a month before the primary
Posted on 3/20/24 at 9:37 am to momentoftruth87
Of course.
You declare your part affiliation and can only vote in that parties primary
That is completely separate from the general. Party affiliation isn’t taken into consideration.
Most people are too lazy to manipulate the process.
For many years I declared independent. One year I missed out on voting in a primary. I switched back to R to keep from forgetting and to maintain my ability to vote in the R primary.
I doubt there was much cross over due to this extra needed step. Before I moved I did not see any campaigns by the dems to make this step.
Florida dems are not quite as loony as some other states with obvious exceptions. Overall anyway.

Moreno can not beat Brown. Brown is solid among working class voters.
He always has been.
You posted about Cuba in a China thread and now you are posting about the Ohio GOP primary in a Florida GOP primary thread.
IDK if you need to stop drinking or need another drink?

They can if they register as a republican. I feel like that’s a bit more of a pain in the arse to do than it’s worth considering all things.

What Brown?
Idiot

Nikki Haley beat DeSantis in his home State.
Considering that DeSantis dropped out and endorsed Trump over a month ago, why would this be significant?

Are those batches of people recorded and disclosed on the SOS site?
Posted on 3/20/24 at 9:45 am to Indefatigable
Because they were told to hate Ron and they complied. It’s that simple.

Recorded- yes
Disclosed- no
ETA: I misread the FL.gov website. Gator is correct.

Just start running pictures of Brown holding Joe's ice cream cone...
Tie Brown to Joe and it's over.
Matter of fact, here Is how to win every race in the fall...
That guy is with Joe...

They aren’t segregated like that. Party registrations are public record but I’ve not seen lists available like you are talking about.
You’d have to do some serious data mining and compare year over year.
It wouldn’t tell you the reason for the switch either.

That's not true and actually unlikely to happen.
Trump will carry Moreno (who will likely underperform Trump by a few percentage points), but that won't be enough. Dolan would have done better in the general but this is still a race Moreno will likely win even with Sherrod Brown being a stone cold winner of elections.

Congrats? You are voting Biden regardless of who the Republican nominee is anyway so why do you care? You act like people don’t know your left wing posting history

You only have to declare to vote in the primary. Primaries are put on by that party so that’s why some states require you to register with that party. General elections are for everyone.
translation: There was no Fla DIM primary. So DIMs could switch en masse to vote for Haley, and still be allowed to vote Biden in the general
Posted on 3/20/24 at 10:27 am to RobbBobb
Correct. But in all honesty, the situations between the two parties are no different. Republicans could just as easily register in boards as Dems and cast votes for RFK.

Except RFK never entered the DIM primaries. Withdrew in Oct

Fair. I assumed you could write him in.

I was surprised Biden was the only dem in Florida. Did the guy who won constituents not submit to be on ballot or does Florida only put the incumbent?
