Dope where I was raised in the country was pot not matter the color. We didn't really have the hard drugs back then that I'm aware of.

It wasnt your lingo. Its your Reefer Madness attitude that smoking weed makes someone a thug and a hardcore criminal that makes you sound like an angry out of touch old man.

Study after study shows that suburban, middle class white kids do drugs at the same rate as inner city black kids do. "Thug" is by and large reserved for the black kids though. The white kids just made a mistake.

However, I will admit that thug can be perceived as a black only thing even though I disagree with whites that do that.
Thug is colorless to me. The origin is actually Hindi and should not be reserved for people of color. That's just stupid as the word has a real meaning and black boy isn't in the definition.

I used to smoke pot daily. Had a bunch of friends who did too. Always made us chill and relaxed. That was the point. If you want to fight, drink. If you want to sit and watch cartoons and talk about nothing,smoke a bowl.

Sure man. Race has nothing to do with the folks in this thread suddenly thinking that weed use makes someone a criminal. I am sure they feel the same way about their own sons and daughters that have almost certainly gotten in a little trouble whether they knew it or not.
