I mean that’s actually kind of accurate. My physician daughter and engineer son in law will carve out a nice life for themselves. They have multiple rental properties and are already in the top 5% of earners in their twenties
You should be proud

They will almost assuredly have their kids in private school. Because public schools here are burning to the ground. They’ve moved out of St. Louis city because it’s burning to the ground. They’ll pay 40% of their earnings in taxes because the rapacious government can never get enough. And governmental debt will continue to explode. What do you think is going really well in the country?
I mean, everything you just said right before this

Instead of everyone losing their shi! all Trump has to do is rewrite and rephrase the executive order.
There's ways around this nonsense.

Not trying to put words in his life, but I’m guessing he means that he will be successful, his family will have a great quality of life and future, and that will all happen while living in this America that is apparently burning to the ground.
And I’m with him
The young people who expect they can't buy homes, can't find meaningful relationships and won't have children are, in fact, incorrect?
Nothing to see here, now that it's politically useful to claim America today?

Our country isn’t made up of doctor/engineer couples.
You can dance around that all you want.

A country that half its population wants to burn down will not exist for long.

Yeah but I was specifically responding to someone making the point that if you are successful- American ain’t so bad. I assume you agree with me?

If that’s your goal for a country.
“If you’re in the top 10%, life is good in America. Go country.”
That’s not that appealing of an argument to me.

The Court quite literally just ruled that border patrol can turn people away before they have a chance to make BS asylum claims
So here is my next move.
Executive Order to ban all expectant mothers at 7-9 months of border entry. Maybe even require pregnancy tests to enter.
Eliminate birth tourism enterprises and close the open border in one of the US territories allowing Chinese mothers to have their children on US soil.

I assume you would prefer to leave your children more than just economic viability?

That and the foundations and principles I’ve instilled upon them. Those combined with the opportunities in this country…I mean what else can a parent leave for a child?

Well, some things don’t require the perspicacity of Sherlock to comprehend.

Place? Community? Common culture? Faith?
The notion that the institutions and places and culture your great grandparents built for you (and bled for) are still here and still pulling in the same direction as you?

You mean my great grandparents that would be considered illegal aliens today and were not considered white when they got here? Or the other set who didn't even live in America for a day of their lives?

Sure. But you’re more of a materialist, if I had to guess. I don’t mean that you’re materialistic. I mean that you’re a pragmatic guy who is a bit agnostic about anything past the physical.

The powerful people who control the DC Uniparty system.
