“I don’t think that you have to eliminate the filibuster. You have to do it what it used to be when I first got to the Senate back in the old days,” Biden said. “You had to stand up and command the floor. You had to keep talking.”

Forcing them to actually filibuster isn’t removing the filibuster. It just making it painful, as it should be.

They'll be packing courts by the end of the year.
Say what you want about these people, but at least they're taking advantage of their power and getting everything rammed through over the next 2 years. Republicans never do this kinda shite and it's why they'll always get dominated.

I wish I believed Mitch. But I don’t see him coming through. I see Rand fighting tooth and nail for it on his own, with a couple of other Rs like Cruz backing him.

It’s pointless to do that. Republicans only have to keep one person at a time talking, Democrats have to keep all 50 there to vote when the talking stops.

Actually, as it is now is far more efficient.
With an actually speaking filibuster, nothing else gets done, the speaker has stopped the Senate.
As it is now, other important issues, legislation, etc. can be worked on while the silent filibuster continues.

They just want filibustering to hurt Republicans. Since right now there’s no visual of anyone filibustering so it doesn’t really damage anyone politically.
They want to make the Republicans get up in front of the Senate on camera and block bills so the media can play it and cry about Republicans blocking things “Americans need”

why would the dems even listen? they have the voting boxes rigged, they managed to commit fraud against the most popular republican ever, and then the Republican Party has decided to shite on that person and basically fracture the party. Dems aren't losing shite so empty threats don't matter.
