Twitter Video

So, a cop tries to pull over a car for speeding along I-67 (wherever that is). Suspect proceeds to slow down and turn on their hazard lights alerting the cop they intend to pull over. Cop doesn't receive the message and proceeds to put the vehicle into a PIT maneuver anyway. Turns out, the suspect is female and pregnant. She was trying to find a safe place to pull over due to the interstate's concrete barricades leaving too narrow of a shoulder to pull over.

Who's in the wrong? Cop or woman?

Saw that video last night. Cop should be fired at a minimum. I wouldn’t be opposed to jail time.

Lady should get huge settlement.

If that's the full story, the cop should be fired.

I wouldn’t have pulled over on that narrow shoulder either.

If all the facts are as presented, the cop is at fault and should be terminated from his job and charged with whatever crime is appropriate.

Not sure how a pregnant woman not wanting to expose herself to speeding oncoming traffic from a narrow shoulder could possibly be "in the wrong."

Just wanted to fix that last sentence so the progressives would understand it.

She was clearly not making any attempt to flee, which is when a PIT maneuver could be justified (the fleeing vehicle poses a greater risk).

That cop will be in the unemployment line soon, if not behind bars.

Hopefully momma and baby are ok. I see air bag deployment. That and the newly restraint can’t be good.

What in the literal frick was wrong with this guy? There was nothing anywhere close to indicating this driver was a menace requiring a PIT.

When he put his lights on, she moved over to the far outside lane, a lane with a very small shoulder. She then puts on her emergency lights. Right there that should indicate to the officer the driver is trying to comply but there may be other extenuating circumstances (what if she had been in labor?).

Before we even get to any of that though, I believe he's a fricking moron in the first place for wanting her to pull over on such a shallow shoulder. How any officer considers pulling over in an area like that to be safe and reasonable is beyond me.

And then the stupid frick is trying to justify his actions to her while she’s potentially dying.

Honestly, it's pretty damn unsafe to pull over on a bridge or whatever that is. It's not like she dodged exits or anything.

Siding with the lady here.

I am fairly Pro Police. I rate a solid "boot licker" on the OT scale.

That being said, this is the most egregious shite I may have ever seen. Unreal.

Yeah that is some bullshite I thought you had the right to find a safe place to pull over. She wasn’t increasing speed or trying to evade. What a dick he should be sued into the poor house

Yeah, he's 100% wrong.

Also, the next time someone a-hole comes on here suggesting this board universally defends police, someone needs to bring up this thread.
