Yup, one more factor in chain was probably switching the approach from 01 to 33 at last minute. Helo instantly became more of a threat.

I wonder if she was trying to fly the same way women drive?

Indeed. That's was the big start of this mishap.

She was flying

and she was PIC. This lies solely with her regardless of who was evaluating who, who was talking to who, or who was telling who what to do. They may all be complicit, but she is PIC, she is in charge of the safety of the craft.

This will not sit well with the MSM and equal rights crew. They will squall like sheep at a shearing when the cold hard truth of blame is stated. They'll make it about oppression or sexism before they admit her fault.

Could be I am still involved with aviation and my former unit.

Not sure about Army data but she had 500 hours. Not sure if total or airframe specific.

Instructor pilot was at 1000 hours. Again not sure cumulative or airframe specific.

That seems interesting to me why 200 feet off and neither tower or the two pilots recognize it

Faa says the tower was undermanned.

Understood.

Ground all military aircraft in the USA until they learn to fly without hitting commercial airlines

Why is the military using commercial runways and airports for exercises/training?

What am I missing or don’t understand?

It doesn't matter if the pilots were blue, black or yellow and male or female or anything else

It does to the families of over 60 people

She said she saw the plane. She clearly did not. People are dead because she was clueless up there. When people die, it most certainly matters who was in that seat

Now all we need to know is why?

In this instance the helicopter is from Fort Belvoir, they fly up and down the river.

They do have joint use airports which have both commercial/military flights.

In fairness, it was clearly a guy who was saying that to ATC

Which plane did she see? The CRJ-700 taking off, or the one at her eight descending. That goes back to the ATC being specific.

Most of the female pilots I flew with were excellent.

Only one or two were scary.

How many females out of 100 are scary compared to males?

Scary female pilots: F/100. What number is F?

Scary male pilots: M/100. What number is M?

We really don't know what she saw or didn't see and won't unless we get the cockpit voice recorder, if one exists. She wasn't on the mic, the instructor was, and it was the instructor that claimed they saw the jet that the Controller had referenced.

With 13 seconds of CA before impact, I doubt that the instructor saw the PSA jet and the pilot did not. He would have had plenty of time to warn her off if HE saw the PSA jet and SHE was looking at a different aircraft.

Well I had some great female pilots. Would fly with them without a question.

A few were scary.

Numbers are variable.

Flew with some 3-4 stars kids

They sucked arse.

Mostly dick or tits didn't matter.

Good is good
