Oh, FEMA is capable of plenty of incompetence without local help.
Yeah I could have phrased that better because I wasn't trying to imply FEMA was without incompetence
Just not THIS stuff, likely

Load the supplies on an abortion bus and tell them you're setting up for free abortions. You'll get right through.

If there are shenanigans, it's likely local LEO, not FEMA
So are you declaring yourself a trusted source? This seems like an opinion.
You have a "hunch" huh?

Rumor: FEMA is confiscating donations for survivors.
Fact:
Rumors about FEMA turning away donations, stopping trucks or vehicles with donations, and seizing supplies often spread after a disaster. These are all false.
FEMA does not take donations and/or food from survivors or voluntary organizations. Donations of food, water, or other goods are handled by voluntary agencies who specialize in storing, sorting, cleaning, and distributing donated items.
FEMA does not conduct vehicle stops or handle road closures with armed guards -- those are done by local law enforcement.

Across the US, yes. Not for an individual state. The discussion was about what the NC Governor could do with state resources.
Dumbass
Careful who you call dumbass you stupid frickwad or you just end up making yourself look like a complete arse. The NC Army Guard has four brigades, two of which are specifically structured for logistics support, one of which is an aviation brigade which in this situation would be most useful in getting supplies into cutoff areas. And right next door in states like Tennessee, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia etc. are numerous other similar brigades that could be pulled in to help. In fact they should already be there.

‘A lot of misinformation’ | Gov. Lee, FEMA address donation rumors
Gov. Lee clarified that the rumors about donations being confiscated were completely false.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Federal Emergency Management Agency and Gov. Bill Lee addressed Thursday rumors circulating around social media about Helene donations being confiscated.
Lee told WVLT News’ Casey Wheeless that those claims were false.
He said in some situations where food was being donated, it would be dropped off at a central location and then distributed to those who need it.
“In fact, there’s some belief and understanding that it’s coming from foreign sources just to confuse on the ground what’s happening here.
“There’s a lot of misinformation,” Lee said. There’s no confiscation of supplies or of products coming in from FEMA or TEMA.”

You know what they don't have? An organic slice of every unit that the Army or Air Force has for active duty units. No single state has that. That's my entire point. I wasn't even making a claim about what units NC does or doesn't have nor do I know off the top of my head, I'm just saying that the NG is built a little differently than the active components regardless of the state.

Again, mensa, the conversation was about what the NC Governor could do.

FEMA is just as crooked as any gov agency. There’s no reason they’d be short on supplies but they’ve been selling off the stuff for profit since post Katrina. They’re bureaucratic thieves just like all the rest.

If that’s not the face of a white guilt Karen, I don’t know what is.

And who determines which voluntary agencies are approved to handle this? And what are their criteria for approving?

You really are stupid. North Carolina has two complete combat support brigades. These brigades have the resources to supply the logistics of an entire corps worth of soldiers in time of war. Thus these two brigades have d the resources to supply the hurricane hit areas with life sustainment resources. Couple that with the aviation brigade in the NC guard that can airlift supplies and people to cutoff areas while evacuating victims.
The governor also can request the help of other Guard units from across the nation. The President can, with a stroke of the pen, deploy entire National Guard divisions to North Carolina to help with the relief efforts. These divisions have the same structure and capabilities as their active duty counterparts. In fact, they’re better suited for this sort of mission than active duty.
The National Guard has two fundamental missions, these missions are the core reason the Guard exists as it does today instead of being individual state “militias” as they were 100 years ago:
1. Fight our wars
2. Assist in natural disasters
There should already be Guard units from all across the country in North Carolina. The governor and President could have had units on the move within hours of the hurricane hitting. To claim the governor of North Carolina is limited due to lack of National Guard resources is patently absurd.

No I had a logistics company that leased out to another logistics company my equipment because the NO companies were shut down, I was on the Northshore. They staged my equipment around the area for around the clock usage with drivers in case situations were required to bug out like hurricane Rose that came a month later or crime elements were to bad

Many on this Board are closer to Katrina than I was…but wasn’t it a shite show until that General or whoever was sent in to take charge? This whole thing smacks of multiple beaurocrats who never had to do anything in their life with no single chain of authority or effective individuals in charge.
And to think some people what these idiots in charge of healthcare.

Sure was. FEMA sucks. Katrina relief was awful until General got involved. A general that supports Commie Dem party. Things that make you go hmmm. Republican president at time.

Some nice karen got on the Facebooks here (augusta) and is trying to shout down "false information" being spread about fema. I read that lengthy crap and she ends up just explaining how to make the application process work for you to get your 750.
I was really hoping that it was some other disinformation, but nah....all the democrats for life is happy big daddy government is stepping in to gives us some free stuff
