I just don’t like that it entitles people like OP to be lazy while they try to bleed to middle class to death to prop up the low income.

We are about to be a two tier society. Rich and poor.

There is a way to win.

Republicans in Congress have to start getting intellectually honest.

In 92, Newt and his troops opposed the Bush budget deal and tax hikes. Stayed true to their principles. GOP got shellacked in 92. How bad? We were within one vote of a filibuster proof Senate. BUT the House Republicans actually strengthened a little in a year of a GOP rout.

Now we need to do the same thing. Get serious about spending cuts, budget reforms, serious about saying no to President buying into companies, some real healthcare reform, and opposing Dems and President when it's just plain bad policy.

That also means tariffs. I'm not opposed to them but letting a dumb academic like Navarro control the economy has been a disaster. That's how we lost the rural vote.

It will probably help the presidential for republicans in 2028 if Vance runs. Vance was clearly against the Iran war and if Trump listens to him tonight doesn’t happen. Inflation would be at 2% and gas would be cheap.

If the GOP try to go back to the Bush era republicans party nobody under 50 will vote for them. They will try and blame Trump and a big part is the Iran war. But a large part is the Republican voter despises the Republicans in Congress. They are weak lazy and do nothing. They overspend, support foreign wars, ship jobs overseas, killed DOGE, didn’t codify trumps EO’s, didn’t defend the Taliban, didn’t impeach radical judges, had no accountability for the Russia hoax.

Absolutely.

The same stupid people that didn't see this coming also don't understand what this overwhelming rebuke means.
Republican voters feel totally betrayed and disillusioned.
Republicans aren't losing close races in Red states, they are getting slaughtered.
Our President of Peace market manipulating/crypto grifting fraud has totally F'd the Republican Party for many years to come.

Eh, all this proves is that most people have no taste for sacrifice.

The economy is moving in the right direction, but it took a little bit of pain. We can't even handle that

No, it proves that just like elections matter, governance matters well.
We can call people dumb and all that shite, but we're only two years removed from people giving Republicans the presidency, the house AND the senate.

I said this in another thread, but too many folks on here are in a bubble. The polls were not wrong. It was very obvious Republicans were going to struggle badly

TD Poli Board is the best example of an echo chamber that I can think of. It's the funniest read on the internet.

Has it though?

Seems like he’s delivered on 50% of his promises at the halfway point through his presidency.

Guess if you don’t get 100% the alternative is to help elect DSA anti American candidates lol.

Idiots
