Outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray said Sunday he’s leaving his post when President-elect Donald Trump assumes office to avoid throwing the bureau “deeper in the fray” as he defended the agency’s 2022 raid of the 45th president’s Florida estate.
The head of the FBI addressed his impending resignation, the controversial search for classified documents at Mar-a-Lago and how China is the “defining threat of our generation” in a wide-ranging interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes” Sunday night.
Wray, 58, said deciding to step down before completing his 10-year term was “one of the hardest decisions” he’s ever faced. He announced his departure from the post last month

Wray also sounded the alarm on the China threat. Jake Sullivan was out yesterday proclaiming all of the good deeds of Biden. As if he is running the country with Blinken.

I guess I missed the dawn raid on the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware home (with authorization to use deadly force) of that well-meaning but forgetful old man. All in the name of “safeguarding classified information.”

Biden admin has always assured us it was white supremacy.

You are correct. It was a frame job.
I hope Wray is looking for a nonextradition country whilst shittting his pants.

"are agents are left with no choice - but to go to a federal judge, make a probable cause showing, and get a search warrant" - Chris Wray 60 minutes
He left off the part about leaking it to the media.

There are agents staying on that are poised to squeal like a pig and he knows it.

Except when the illegally obtained classified documents are in Joe Bidens possession.
Those documents receive a cover-up, half hearted investigation and a refusal to prosecute.
Keep up the great job Chris!

Wray is resigning for one simple reason …. he has zero credibility remaining.

Now ponder this- Wray may be the most corrupt FBI director to hold the office since his predecessor Jim Comey, WHO WRAY REPACED BECAUSE OF THE CORRUPTION IN THE FBI. Now, MAYBE, just MAYBE, the corruption goes deeper than the director.

Did 60 Minutes ask Wray how CNN managed to be on site when the FBI raided the homes of Navarro, Bannon and Guiliani in the pre-dawn wee hours of the morning?
Did 60 Minutes ask Wray about the political persecution of over 2000 J6 attendees?
Did 60 Minutes ask Wray why, and how, they missed five separate instances of mass murder, that could have been avoided, under his watch? Trannie shooters, attacks with vehicles and ... also, what about the two attempts on Trump’s life?
At best, Wray is incompetent. At worst he is complicit.

The fbi was not created by law. Give the field offices to the States to manage.

Interestingly enough, I learned from Kash Patel's book they had to send agents from DC for this "raid"... Couldn't use agents from the Florida office. Gee I wonder why.

wray is leaving simply because there is no more integrity left to take. he has taken it all.

Disband the angency and send the money to state and local law enforcement. Or better yet, back to the taxpayer. Assign a necessary number of agents to US Attorney’s offices making them essentially the equivalent of state DA investigators, but on a federal level.

I think re-signing protects the retirement package of the corrupt gooooooooberment actor. Retroactive Congressional legislation must be put into law to prevent that activity.
