Even if that study is misreported and you are correct, in what world is it ok to roll how a vax to pregnant women and infants with such little time in testing?

Here is the actual study from 2021 being grossly lied about because people are idiotic with math

quote:

The 2021 study most often cited on this question is the CDC's v-safe analysis by Zauche and colleagues, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in September 2021. Using the CDC's v-safe COVID-19 Pregnancy Registry, the researchers followed 2,456 women who received at least one dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine before conception or before 20 weeks of gestation and measured their cumulative risk of spontaneous abortion (pregnancy loss) between 6 and less than 20 weeks. The key finding was that the estimated risks (14.1% overall and 12.8% in age-standardized analyses) are consistent with the risks of spontaneous abortion reported in the general population. In other words, vaccinated women miscarried at the same background rate seen in unvaccinated pregnancies. As the authors put it, the risk of spontaneous abortion after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination either before conception or during pregnancy is consistent with the expected risk of spontaneous abortion
someone was literally an idiot at math, misquoted the study, and social media idiots and even some politicians ran with it

Here are the larger now completed studies still show no increased risk

quote:

A large body of research has consistently found that getting a COVID-19 vaccine during pregnancy does not raise the risk of miscarriage. The strongest evidence comes from a 2023 systematic review and meta-analysis published in Human Reproduction, which pooled data from 21 studies covering nearly 150,000 women. Compared to those who received a placebo or no vaccination, women who received a COVID-19 vaccine did not have a higher risk of miscarriage (risk ratio 1.07, 95% CI 0.89–1.28), and had comparable rates for ongoing pregnancy or live birth. A risk ratio near 1.0 means the two groups were essentially the same, and the confidence interval crossing 1.0 means there was no statistically meaningful difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated women. Individual large studies point the same way: a Dutch cohort of 4,640 pregnant women concluded that COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy is not associated with an increased risk of miscarriage in gestational weeks 6–20, and a Norwegian registry case-control study similarly reported no evidence of an increased risk of first-trimester pregnancy loss associated with COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy.

Sadly I expect nobody to care about the above and still quote twitter people with math levels of 2nd graders

There is so much legit things to go after Fauci for, going after him here gives him an easy win. It’s dumb. But expected idiots will fall in this trap

Theoretically: something is supposed to work or be true according to rules, ideas, or math, but it might not actually happen that way in the real world.

The Fox article this is based on also states:
quote:

no data or theoretical reason" to believe vaccination earlier in pregnancy should be preferred over later vaccination

quote:

more than 10,000 pregnant women had already been vaccinated with "no issues" reported, that Food and Drug Administration, Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists guidance allowed pregnant women to choose vaccination, and that animal toxicology studies had not raised red flags.

So to recap…in theory they thought they could see an issue. The data proved otherwise.

Taking this statement at face value.. it is still an observation made in hindsight.

There was NO WAY to know this in real time, and no reason to push this on pregnant women.

Especially considering that our esteemed Lord Fauci even saw and discussed potential safety signals. Yet they kept on trucking.

1. Risks could be mitigated without the shot.

2. The shot didn’t prevent COVID after all.

3. Catching COVID wasn’t a certainty, taking a shot was.

The shot did an excellent job of preventing death and severe complications of the original strain of COVID 19

It’s something we the American people should be proud of because we made that happen. Trump made that happen and many others. It was an unbelievable triumph

But it will always be buried in miles deep of shite

Like 95% of drugs, vitamins etc. carry the pregnancy warning, so the fact that this was so brazenly "fine," is CRAZY. And definitely should have been questioned.

But Democrats love killing babies, so unfortunately, par for the course.

Not infection. Not so much strains past OG Covid.

By the time women were getting pushed shots in pregnancy I’m pretty sure multiple variants had already come to pass.

no, it did not

it was pretty much worthless, other than causing actual issues for people

This is just false, but how can I even argue with you? I can post all the data in the world showing how much the vaccine lowered death and severe complications and you will just say “fake data”
