Im am FINE with voter ID laws. I think its stupid that you can vote without one.

You need to read the thread again. I've stated no less than three times that I understand this fully. Why it keeps getting brought up I have no idea.
I NEVER said it was the only official ID, NEVER said you had to have one to vote, and NEVER implied anything even remotely close to those statements. It was one small example to the question of how so many black people can lack ID. There are many, many other reasons why, chiefly among them laziness.

That's part of the problem. The other part is just a lack of effort to obtain a photo ID.
So, why exactly is it that the people who oppose voter IDs don't instead merely propose exceedingly simple ways to get such an ID? I mean, ya know, while ya'll are killing yourself to devise ways to bus these folks to the polls, maybe you can devise a way to help them get proper ID?

All that said. Um, what exactly is the point even if the numbers aren't high? Should we repeal all laws or make no effort to enforce certain laws if it is shown that breaking said law is not terribly common?

I watch the show Cops, they always ask for id of everyone in the car anyone without gets a lot of hastle. I bet 95% have a govt issued id...

Yes, and some want to prevent efforts to reduce fraud of casting those votes, however insignificant the actual instances of voter fraud might be, under the guise of fighting persecution of minority groups.

This. Give me a fricking break. Ids are free in many places for then poor. In some places they can drive a mobile setup to you to get your free Id. Even shithole Mexico installed voter Id. If you can't get an ID in this day and time you just don't fricking want one.
