This whole ID thing is LUDICROUS...and an outright lie. The Federal government subsidizes all manner of goods and services to poor folk....and yet...we are to believe that the Fed CAN NOT assist those folk in getting the ID that will VALIDATE not only their vote...but their right to subsidization.

I will insult your intelligence and tell you it is hard to get a photo ID.
My wife is in the process of trying to get a new photo ID.
She needs a new Social Security card and a new state issued photo ID.
She can not get a new Social Security Card without showing a state photo ID.
She can not get a state photo ID without showing her Social Security card.
Luckily, she does have an expired driver's license. The Social Security administration would not accept a copy of her photo ID in the mail, so we are going to have to drive for an hour to the nearest office to show them her ID.
If she did not still have her expired driver's license, she would not be able to get a new Social Security card or a new photo ID.
You are an idiot who does not know what he is talking about when you claim it is simple to get a photo ID.

There it is. A simple effort by the SSA to VALIDATE Social Security numbers and assign current PHOTOS of the individual. Either one is in the SS system...or they ain't. If they are, no problem. If not...something stinks.
This won't happen, because they don't want it too. Too many lost votes, unlawful subsidies and criminals out there, who vote to sustain the "Beast".
Worse...now we are all lumped in it together. Grab your ankles.

I have been in more poor areas and homes than you will probably ever enter. All of these residences have a television, nice shoes, and plenty of food........they can get an ID. Not to mention that in many areas ID's are offered to the poor for free
