Explain what the hell is going on in CA

I have been away from media, television, and relaxing at the pool and beach last few days. So what is going on out there to have these riots, Ms Marxist Maxine get a door shut on her, and Newsome being called out by everyone.

The most bizarre aspect of this whole thing is that I haven't heard one single person talk about this IRL. Like a real person in the world, not on a screen.

That is interesting. In my small orbit, I have had two different people that have always been of the opinion that politics dont matter because nothing happens and nothing they can do about it. They ignore all of it...until this week. They both started asking me if I was following the insanity of the riots and couldn't believe people had a problem with illegal aliens being deported.
I couldn't believe it.

To answer the OP.. foreign illegal aliens are waiving foreign flags on U.S. soil and destroying American property.

I didn't find out about January 6 until years after it happened, when I started posting here again. I don't tune into national politics outside of this board but I do work closely with boomers who love to talk about the news, especially when its negative.
But, I live in New Orleans and the conversations I overhear are still centered around the jail escapees.

The money transfers back to Mexico along with the US focused factories down there drive their entire economy.
If Trump flips the trade imbalance via tariffs, taxes the money exiting hard and sends back a bunch of unemployed military aged males they could have a revolution on their hands as the non-cartel based economy melts down.

Its very simple. The protests are people resisting the enforcement of immigration law. They are seeing their neighbors and friends be removed by ICE. Its typical spoiled leftist behavior. Like a toddler screaming when they dont get to eat ice cream for dinner. In their defense, the government for decades has allowed illegals to live here without consequence so existing here as an illegal without any problem is the societal norm for them.

USAID & NGO money is funding riots.

Supposedly Trump & Elon were shutting this down with DOGE, but apparently Congress has not defunded the lyons share of the theft.
