@elonmusk

20% fake/spam accounts, while 4 times what Twitter claims, could be *much* higher.

My offer was based on Twitter’s SEC filings being accurate.

Yesterday, Twitter’s CEO publicly refused to show proof of <5%.

This deal cannot move forward until he does.

If the board knew the numbers were a lie, and still filed those with the SEC for earnings, etc then they are all in a world of hurt, or at least should be.

I would prefer Musk to purchase it but short of that hopefully this kills Twitter for good.

This is correct.

And, they are going to have to show the data.

There's some out there that think the number is waaaay higher than 20%.

Legally perhaps but the stock market will handle the news poorly and the company may very well die or be bought for pennies on the dollar.

I think Twitter should be dismantled and destroyed- legally and financially- from top to bottom. It should exist only as an example of what happens when you don’t MAGA

Along with news stations, Twitter is a non-profit, propped up to advance a cause.

It is nice how you still think justice is equally applied.

censor free speech.

I do not want a MAGA-only forum either.

Well, it doesn't make a profit, so it's non-profit.

Yep, make it a more level playing field. Get rid of bots and stop banning for stupid crap.

True enough, but Wells Fargo actually has tangible assets.

Nothing will happen to twitter. The government will probably bail them out with taxpayer money. Twitter is too important to them.

At a minimum Elon should be able to avoid any breakup fee that he would owe them, on grounds of (at a minimum) failure to cooperate with due diligence, if not outright fraud.

Some institution might sue as a class action. Then they have to notify stockholders if the class is certified. Even if you sold now you may still end up in the class.

Not just stockholders filing a class action.

EVERY company who has ever advertised on their site was lied to about consumer penetration, demographics etc. They were all overbilled.

What would you win in a lawsuit with a defunct, broke company?
