Lots you compain about regardint the EU but this is not it.

There are a lot of Euro countries super close. And super intertwined. Do you really blame the Austrians and Hungarians for wanting to zip through on their way to worK? The Latvians Lithuanians and Estonia's? How about the Finnish and Swedish? Check out a map.

You have to have a passport to enter the EU from outside.

Once inside, you can move freely from country to country.

I was actually denied entry to Finland because my US passport had less than 3 months remaining on it. They have a minimum of 6 months requirement.

Flew all the way from Oklahoma to Heathrow just to find that out. The Finnish woman at the Helsinki departure gate would not allow me to board the flight to Helsinki.

American Airlines refunded my money. They said it was their fault for not preventing me from beginning my journey in Oklahoma.

Not one of my proudest moments.
