If there is anyone who didn’t quite understand the quote: “there are trillions of dollars at stake”, in the context of the 2016 election, well, a letter today from the biggest EU economic nations will provide greater context.

Additionally, as you absorb the position behind their claims, never forget how much foreign governments spend in lobbying the U.S. congress for legislation adverse to the interests of U.S. workers.

Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain are claiming the U.S. congress has no right to reform the U.S. tax code because the reforms undercut their ability to hold an advantage over the U.S. in multinational trade deals.

This quote is particularly enlightening:

quote:

[…] The letter argues that proposed changes to the U.S. tax code could give American companies an advantage over foreign rivals.

The Globalist Position: ‘All your tax code are belong to us.’ Yes Alice, the election of President Trump, and the specific economic and trade policies within his platform, are an existential threat to decades long multinational schemes.

You can't find a better endorsement for tax reform than that.

So these countries aren’t able to change their own tax codes?

And isn’t the US corporate rate insanely high given the double taxation of overseas profits?

Not even the lowest. Don’t negate our advantage they say.

If the rest of the world is squealing, this is a good sign. Don’t hear them saying we ought to do something about our $20,000,000,000,000.00 in national debt.

They can all frick off.

Notice they are more vocal about our tax code than China’s currency manipulation?

Suck it

1) Give us favorable trade deals to your detriment

2) Subsidize our military and defense with your money

3) Don't criticize us for letting hundreds of thousands of Muslim immigrants into our countries

4) Give us intelligence to help us deal with Muslim terrorism

It is time for the United States to end NATO. Stop wasting our tax dollars to save people who hate us.

I don't care to do any actual research into this but the whole notion makes me laugh.
