I think he is going to piss some of his viewers off with those comments. What he doesn't seem to realize is that people watch sports to be entertained not to have a political agenda forced on them.
ETA: Not sure if this belongs here or on the MSB?

ESPN has become a favorite punching bag for many critics in conservative circles — including President Donald Trump. From SportsCenter anchor Jemele Hill calling Trump a white supremacist, to the network honoring Caitlyn Jenner with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Now, one SportsCenter anchor is coming forward to blast those who are turning off ESPN for political reasons.

If you truly wanna boycott the NFL and you wanna boycott ESPN, the notion that some guy sitting out there, or gal, and they decide, ‘you know what, I’m gonna cut my entire cable package because ESPN gave an award on a made-up show in July because there’s no sports, to a woman who used to be a man, so I’m now not gonna have any cable TV at all and I’m gonna sit around at night and read books by candlelight like olden times because of that,’ that’s not happening. And if you did that, than you’re so dumb that I can’t even pray for you because you’re beyond hope.

I've always found in marketing that one of the best ways to acquire customers or to keep the ones you have is to call them stupid.

If only there was a way to watch television without a cable subscription. Maybe someday.

I’m not giving up my cable directly because they give Caitlyn Jenner awards, I’m giving it up because it costs a goddamn fortune for little that I can’t get on Netflix or Hulu.
ESPN’s politics just remind me that I need to hurry the process up because they annoy me.

So watching sports on tv instead of reading books makes someone dumb...

When you're in the entertainment business and people don't like what you're doing you can either be smart and adapt to what your audience wants or you can keep it real and double-down on your failure.
Good to see he's keeping it real.

And if you can figure out how to really "show 'em so" you will guarantee to WIN BIG.

Huh, giving up cable to read books instead is for stupid people. That's an interesting take on it.

Guess Bald Man on Campus won't be on my TV any longer. Not that ESPN was in the first place.

I'm pretty sure that this is the type of shite that the execs were trying to avoid in the wake of their recent controversy. Clay Travis is gonna have a field day with this

Their problem is that they believe their product is indispensable. They are absolutely correct that there is a core group of people that will always consume their product
But they are fundamentally retarded for not recognizing that life can actually go on if one chooses not to consume their product.
But like I said. Honestly the biggest problem they have now is that in response to losing customers they are lashing out at the customer's they are losing
From a business perspective if one wants to start throwing out the stupid label it's hard to get dumber than that

I cut the cord because I don’t watch ESPN haven’t for years and yet I still pay for them
I wasn’t aware i paid them or how much they jacked up my bill until their left wing garbage started getting talked about
Guess I’m beyond hope

Actually, it does make since if ESPN was the primary reason one was still maintaining their cable package.
Maybe you should spend more time fixing the problems that all of these people have with you and less time demeaning your consumer. Oh, wait, that would require you to actually LISTEN TO THEM!

Personally I’d take him off the air. You’re encouraging our consumers to cut us out of their subscription whether you realize it or not

When ESPN started broadcasting Obama townhall meetings about race, they pretty much sealed their fate.

And for the people that it bothers but whatever they’ll put up with it
Calling people who have done that stupid to people who are on the fence or have considered doing it is fricking beyond stupid
