-Iran's military is all but non-existent.

-Iran's ability to enrich uranium has been set back by several years. Maybe decades. You can argue whether this is "good enough", but you cannot argue that fact.

-Iran's already enriched supply of uranium is buried under a mountain, which we can easily monitor. You can argue "but but but Trump said we were going to get their uranium.". And you'd have a point, I suppose. But you cannot argue that Iran effectively has no enriched uranium.

-We have strengthened relationships with oil rich middle eastern countries not named Iran.

-Another feather has been added to Trumps hat on dealing with NATO and the EU. Of course they're complaining about it. And you yourself may even want to complain "but but but we're ruining relationships with allies". I don't see it that way. While I loathe democrats, I don't think they're stupid. Trumps actions will make it easier for them to deal with NATO and the EU as well.

-We've learned a lot about China and how strong their relationship with Iran really is. China has been made weaker with this Iran war.


Again, you can make arguments over what we've really accomplished. You can say "this isn't good enough" if you'd like, but we all know its disingenuous. We've obviously won this war.



MILITARILY, I'd say we've won by a final score of 98 - 2. The 2 is being generous, as their power is not real. It's in their ability to threaten and drive insurance prices up for cargo ships.

ECONOMICALLY, I'd say we've won 75-25. They, along with a lot of other countries are hurting a LOT worse than we are.

POLITICALLY, I'd say we've won 60-40. But this will not be the perception. The perception will be that we lost on the order of 20-80.

The only question is did we win decisively enough to say it was "worth it".

But this isn't over. We shall reassess. Well, some of us will. Your mind is already made up. It was made up by March 1.
